How we should be better people?

4 But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, 5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit,

So him saving us is telling us how to be better people?

6 whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

So Him talking about Christ being poured out on us as savior. and how we were justified by his grace is telling us how to be better people?

Come on man

He said in plain words.

NOT BY GOOD DEAEDS WE HAVE DONE (like water baptism) BUT BY HIS MERCY HE SAVED US.

How did he save Us?

1. By the WASHING OF REGENERATION (we who were dead. have been made alive)
2. Renewal - new birth born again
3. of who? The HS..

We have been justified by grace.. Same as eph 3.. No water baptism is involved

See you did the same mistake all water regeneration people make. You went again. The bible was not written in verse or chapter form. man did this years later.

I asked you in the conversation Jesus had with Nicodemus to show me the word.

You have still failed to do it. The baptism in vs 22 has no bearing on john 3 and being born again

No. He told us how to be born again in vs 10 - 18.. again can you show me the word baptize in Jesus command to show Nicodemus how to be born again?

There is no confusion.

Peter told everyone to repent

He only told a select few to repent.

Again, to interpret this literally. it should say and Peter said everyone, them, repent. and ;let THEM be baptized....

No

God did not spiritually circumcize us when we were physically baptized.

It says buried with HIM in BAPTISM in the WORKING OF GOD Not the work of your pastor.

So your pastor baptized you into christs death. how did he do this considereing Christ died 2000 some odd years ago?

We have to do something? Says who?

Oh I have many

So we good, I answered your questions?

I can tell you don't like the answers but I did the best I can do.

AMEN we are suppose to LOVE one and the other it's not HIS will that anyone should Parrish so it's my job to share HIS word which is LOVE.

You are right it's not good deads why would you call a commanded to be baptized to get rid of our sins and dead or work?

1. How do you think we get rid of our sins?
2. How do we get washing of regeneration?

Lets look at what Peter told them to do.

Acts 2:38-39
King James Version
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

3. WHY DO YOU SAY HE ONLY TOLD A FEW?
4. WHY ARE YOU TELLING ME WHAT IT SHOULD SAY?

Do you know what happens to those who modife HIS word?

Revelations 22: 18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Paul explains baptism.
Romans 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.

1. How do you think we get rid of our sins?
2. How do we get washing of regeneration?
3. WHY DO YOU SAY HE ONLY TOLD A FEW in Acts 2:38-39?
4. WHY ARE YOU TELLING ME WHAT IT SHOULD SAY in Acts 2:38-39?

I am open to more questions and will even answer them before you answer mine.

not sure why people make this so difficult
PRIDE. That salvation is by grace through faith and is not by works is not hard to understand. (Ephesians 2:8,9) It's just hard for works-salvationists to ACCEPT. It's a shame that human pride will not allow works-salvationists to place their faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. (Romans 4:5-6) Their hands are full of their works, and they will not let go in order to receive Christ through faith.

Absolutely! Romans 1:16 - For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.

The gospel that you just cited in 1 Corinthians 15:1-4.

No, I was here. I did not need to be in the presence of Paul when he preached it in order to believe it. What Paul preached is in God's Word and I believe it.

Yes I have by trusting in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ as the ALL-sufficient means of my salvation. ✝️ Praise God! :D

Are you trying to "add" to what Jesus said we must do in order to be saved in John 6:40? This also lines up with what Jesus said in John 3:15,16,18; 6:29,40,47; 11:25,26. Simply BELIEVES.

Amen!

Instead of getting hung up on one or two pet verses in an effort to accommodate a biased church doctrine, you need to properly harmonize scripture with scripture before reaching your conclusion on doctrine.

In Acts 2:38, "for the remission of sins" does not refer back to both clauses, "you all repent" and "each one of you be baptized," but refers only to the first. Peter is saying "repent unto the remission of your sins," the same as in Acts 3:19. The clause "each one of you be baptized" is parenthetical. This is exactly what Acts 3:19 teaches except that Peter omits the parenthesis.

*Also compare the fact that these Gentiles in Acts 10:45 received the gift of the Holy Spirit (compare with Acts 2:38 - the gift of the Holy Spirit) and this was BEFORE water baptism. (Acts 10:47)

In Acts 10:43 we read ..whoever believes in Him receives remission of sins. Again, these Gentiles received the gift of the Holy Spirit - Acts 10:45 - when they believed on the Lord Jesus Christ - Acts 11:17 - (compare with Acts 16:31 - Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved) BEFORE water baptism - Acts 10:47. This is referred to as repentance unto life - Acts 11:18.

*So, the only logical conclusion when properly harmonizing scripture with scripture is that faith in Jesus Christ "implied in genuine repentance" (rather than water baptism) brings the remission of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit. (Luke 24:47; Acts 2:38; 3:19; 5:31; 10:43-47; 11:17,18; 13:38-39; 15:7-9; 16:31; 26:18) *Perfect Harmony*

So I say there are 4 components to be reborn.
1. Believe
2. Repent
3. Get baptized in JESUS name to get rid of our sins.
4. JESUS needs to fill us with HIS SPIRIT.

I say this because of these verses.

JESUS SAID IN,
Matthew 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

JESUS SAID IN,
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

PETER SAID IN,
Acts 2:38-39
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

ANANIAS SAID IN,
Acts 22:16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

MARK SAID IN,
Mark 16:16-17
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

ALL OF THESE VERSE GO HAND IN HAND.

ACTS 10, THEY REPENTED, THEY WERE FILLED WITH THE HOLY GHOST AND THEY WERE COMMANDED TO BE BAPTIZED IN JESUS NAME. PERIOD.

JESUS IS THE ONE WHO FILLED THEM BEFORE BEING BAPTIZED. I will say because Peter would have never baptized them look at this.

Acts 11:14 Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved.
15 And as I began to speak, the Holy Ghost fell on them, as on us at the beginning.
16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.
17 Forasmuch then as God gave them the like gift as he did unto us, who believed on the Lord Jesus Christ; what was I, that I could withstand God?

JESUS SENT THEM THERE TO SHOW THEM HOW TO BE SAVED, Peter knew what it took to be save HE HAD THE KEYS TO HEAVEN.

Acts 16:31 HOW MANY TIMES DOES IT HAVE TO SAY IT?

Acts 11:18 When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.

THE JEWS after listening to Peter was happy.

THE ONLY LOGIC AND HARMONIZING that shroud be done IS READING AND OBEYING HIS WORD.

John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

Cornelius and his foamily did, have YOU?

HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE HOLY GHOST SINCE YOU HAVE BELIEVED?

John 1: 11: 11 He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. 12. But AS MANY AS HAVE RECIEVED HIM, to THEM he gave the right to become children, even TO THEM WHO BELIEVE 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

John 3, FOR God so loved the world he gave his only son that WHOEVER BELIEVES (trusts) in him will NEVER PERISH, and LIVE FOREVER (eternal life) for the son was not sent to judge, but that the world might be saved, he who BELIEVES is NOT CONDEMNED, he who does not believe is condemned already

John 4: 13 Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, 14 but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will NEVER THIRST. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into EVERLASTING LIFE”

John 6:

35 And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. HE WHO COMES TO ME shall NEVER HUNGER and he who BELIEVES IN ME shall NEVER THIRST (NO WORKS)

37: and THE ONE WHO COMES TO ME I WILL BY NO MEANS CAST OUT 38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. 39 This is the will of the Father who sent Me, thatof all He has given Me I SHAL LOSE NOTHING, but SHOULD RAISE IT UP ON THE LAST DAY. 40 And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that EVERYONE WHO SEES AND BELIEVES IN HIM MAY HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE AND I WILL (NOT MIGHT) RAISE HIM ON THE LAST DAY (NO WORKS)

47 Most assuredly, I say to you, HE WHO BELIEVES IN ME HAS EVERLASTING LIFE. 48 I am the bread of life. 49 Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and are dead. 50 This is the bread which comes down from heaven, that THAT ONE MAY EAT OF IT AND NOT DIE 51 am the living bread which came down from heaven. IF ANYONE EATS THIS BREAD HE WILL LIVE FOREVER (NO WORKS)

63 It is the SPIRIT WHO GIVES LIFE ; the flesh profits nothing. THE WORDS THAT I SPEAK to you ARE SPIRIT AND THEY ARE LIFE (SIGNIFYING THE BREAD FROM HEAVEN, THE FLESH AND BOOD ARE THE WORDS JESUS SPOKE. NOT THE PHYSICAL FOOD OR WORKS,)

EPH 1: 13 In Him YOU ALSO TRUSTED , after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also ,HAVING BELIEVED YOU WERE SEALED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT OF PROMISE 14 who IS THE GAURANTEE OF OUR INHERITANCE until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

rom 4: 3 For what does the Scripture say? “ABRAHAM BELIEVED GOD AND HE ACOUNTED IT TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS.” 4 Now TO HIM WHO WORKS, THE WAGES ARE NOT COUNTED AS GRACE BUT DEBT (Works cancels out grace. and makes it a wage) 5 But TO HIM WHO DOES NOT WORK but BELIEVES ON HIM WHO JUSTIFIES THE UNGOLDY , his HIS FAITH IS ACCOUNTED FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS (AGAIN NO WORKS. PERIOD)

rom 4: 16 Therefore IT IF OF FAITH THAT IT MAY BE ACCORDING TO GRACE , so that THE PROMISE MAY BE SURE TO ALL THE SEED not only to those who are of the law, but also TO THOSE WHO ARE OF THE FAITH OF ABRAHAM , who is the father of us all (AGAIN, NO WORKS, IT IS OF GRACE THROUGH FAITH)

Rom 4: 23 Now it was not written for his sake alone that it was imputed to him, 24 but ALSO FOR US, IT SHALL BE IMPUTED TO US WHO BELIEVE IN HIM WHO RAISED UP JESUS OUR LORD FROM THE DEAD , 25 who was delivered up because of our offenses, and was RAISED BECAUSE OF OUR JUSTIFICATION (AGAIN NO WORKS)

Rom 11: 6 And IF BY GRACE, THAN IT IS NO LONGER OF WORKS, ; otherwise GRACE IS NO LONGER GRACE.But IF IT IS OF WORKS, THEN IT IS NO LONGER OF GRACE. (AGAIN, NO QUESTION HERE. PAUL LEAVES NO QUESTION. NO GOOD DEED CAN SAVE US,. WE ARE SAVED BY GODS MERCY, AND GIVEN THE HOPE OF ETERNAL LIFE. WHICH IS PROMISED BEFORE TIME BEGAN

Titus 1: 2 in HOPE OF ETERNAL LIFE which GOD WHO CAN NOT LIE PROMISED BEFORE TIME BEGAN

this is what our faith is in, the grace and mercy of God. not our deeds.

LOL, how can I if the word baptism in not in them.

That is why we need ALL of his word, it's a big puzzle and all of the pieces must fit together.

You are leaving out a lot of those pieces.

LOL, how can I if the word baptism in not in them.

That is why we need ALL of his word, it's a big puzzle and all of the pieces must fit together.

You are leaving out a lot of those pieces.

You leave out pieces that do not support WB being required for salvation, which is most of the NT and all of the OT.

In regard to John 3:22, by this time Jesus' conversation with Nicodemus is over with and He has moved on. John 3:22 - After these things Jesus and His disciples came into the land of Judea, and there He was spending time with them and baptizing. Verse 22 is out of context with verse 5. What is still in context with verse 5 are verses 14-18.

John 3:22 After these things came Jesus and his disciples into the land of Judaea; and there he tarried with them, and baptized.

John 3:14-18
14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

The big problem is you think just believing in his gains you access to Heaven, am I wrong?

If so, you don't think we have to get rid of our sins to be reborn.

You also don't think it's necessary for JESUS to fill us with HIS spirit.

And they are two components of being reborn.

As I have said, Satan's plan keep them out of the water and if they get in it keep JESUS name out of it.

Again I ask you Have YOU received the Holy Ghost SINCE YOU HAVE BELIEVED?

HOW WERE YOU BAPTIZED?

You leave out pieces that do not support WB being required for salvation, which is most of the NT and all of the OT.

We have GODS word and we have your oppion, sorry I think I will follow JESUS NOT YOU.

You have your own rule book you follow and I sure hope you don't have any followeres.

Why do you claim your of GOD when you go aginst what HIS word says.

Who do you work for?

I will ask you again HOW DO I GET RID OF MY SINS.

KEEP IT SIMPLE JUST LOOK WHAT HIS WORD SAYS.

I answered your right?

Did you see my 4 questions?

1. How do you think we get rid of our sins?
2. How do we get washing of regeneration?
3. WHY DO YOU SAY HE ONLY TOLD A FEW in Acts 2:38-39?
4. WHY ARE YOU TELLING ME WHAT IT SHOULD SAY in Acts 2:38-39?

So I say there are 4 components to be reborn.
1. Believe
2. Repent
3. Get baptized in JESUS name to get rid of our sins.
4. JESUS needs to fill us with HIS SPIRIT.
Why did you place repent "after" believe? Repent actually precedes believe. Matthew 21:32 - For John came to you to show you the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes did. And even after you saw this, you did not repent and believe him. *Notice the order.

Mark 1:15 - "The time has come," he said. "The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the gospel." *Notice the order.

Acts 20:21 - testifying both to Jews and to Greeks of repentance toward God and of faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. *Notice the order.

Getting rid of our sins is signified but not procured in water baptism. Faith in Jesus Christ "implied in genuine repentance" (rather than water baptism) brings the remission of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit. (Luke 24:47; Acts 2:38; 3:19; 5:31; 10:43-47; 11:17,18; 13:38-39; 15:7-9; 16:31; 26:18)

I say this because of these verses.
Because of your EISEGESIS.

JESUS SAID IN,
Matthew 4:17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
(Luke 24:47; Acts 3:19; 5:31)

JESUS SAID IN,
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.
Jesus did not say water baptism in John 3:5. Jesus connects living water with eternal life in John 4:10,14; 7:37-39. We also see where the Bible connects the word with water and associates it with cleansing and being born again. (John 15:3; Ephesians 5:26; 1 Peter 1:23) So, to automatically read "baptism" into John 3:5 simply because it mentions "water" is unwarranted.

I already thoroughly covered this in post #1,039 but apparently, you just don't have ears to hear.

ANANIAS SAID IN,
Acts 22:16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.
I already thoroughly covered this in post #1,003 but again, you just don't listen.

MARK SAID IN,
Mark 16:16-17
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
Mark 16:16 - He who believes and is baptized will be saved (general cases without making a qualification for the unusual case of someone who believes but is not baptized) but he who does not believe will be condemned. The omission of baptized with "does not believe" shows that Jesus does not make baptism absolutely necessary for salvation. Condemnation rests on unbelief and not on a lack of baptism. *NOWHERE does the Bible say, "baptized or condemned."

If water baptism is absolutely required for salvation, then we would expect Jesus to mention it in the following verses. (3:15,16,18; 5:24; 6:29,40,47; 11:25,26) Yet what is the ONE requirement that Jesus mentions NINE different times in each of these complete statements *BELIEVES. *What happened to baptism? *Hermeneutics.

John 3:18 - He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who (is not water baptized? - NO) does not believe is condemned already, because he has not (been water baptized? - NO) because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

So, if he who believes will be saved then he who believes and is baptized will be saved as well. However, it's the lack of belief that causes condemnation and not the lack of baptism.

So, have you cast out demons; spoke with new tongues (keep reading in verse 18) have you taken up serpents and drink anything deadly and have not been hurt by it or laid hands on the sick and they recovered? In the beginning years of the church, casting out demons was a common miracle that identified the speaker as a follower of Jesus (Acts 5:16; 8:7; 19:12). In one case, Paul even cast out a demon for irritating him. (Acts 16:18) Those powers, along with the gifts of healing and other miracles, were more common in the early church age. As with many of God's prophets, He empowered them to perform miracles so that their words would be validated. With the finalization of the canon of scripture, we do not need miracles to affirm Jesus' words. God does still work directly in people's lives through miracles, but it's not as common place today.

ALL OF THESE VERSE GO HAND IN HAND.
BUT YOUR EISEGESIS DOES NOT GO HAND IN HAND WITH (Luke 24:47; Acts 3:19; 5:31; 10:43-47; 11:17,18; 13:38-39; 15:7-9; 16:31; 26:18)

ACTS 10, THEY REPENTED, THEY WERE FILLED WITH THE HOLY GHOST AND THEY WERE COMMANDED TO BE BAPTIZED IN JESUS NAME. PERIOD.
THEY WERE COMMANDED TO BE BAPTIZED AFTER THEY BELIEVED, RECEIVED THE GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AND WERE SAVED. (Acts 10:43-48) Which water baptism cult are you mixed up in? Are you a Oneness Pentecostal?

Acts 10:43-47 along with Acts 11:14-18 refutes your argument.

Acts 16:31 HOW MANY TIMES DOES IT HAVE TO SAY IT?
GOOD QUESTION FOR YOU. HOW MANY TIMES DOES PAUL NEED TO SAY "BELIEVE" AND BE SAVED BEFORE YOU STOP ADDING BAPTISM TO IT?

Acts 11:18 When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.
Repentance unto life (implied in believing on the Lord Jesus Christ) apart from water baptism.

THE JEWS after listening to Peter was happy.

THE ONLY LOGIC AND HARMONIZING that shroud be done IS READING AND OBEYING HIS WORD.
The only logical conclusion when properly harmonizing scripture with scripture is that faith in Jesus Christ "implied in genuine repentance" (rather than water baptism) brings the remission of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit. (Luke 24:47; Acts 2:38; 3:19; 5:31; 10:43-47; 11:17,18; 13:38-39; 15:7-9; 16:31; 26:18) *Perfect Harmony*

John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
Which commandments are those? You are out of context.

Cornelius and his foamily did, have YOU?
Cornelius and his family believed, received the gift of the Holy Spirit and were saved and so did I. Did you? Your absolute obsession with water baptism and lack of belief answers that question.

HAVE YOU RECEIVED THE HOLY GHOST SINCE YOU HAVE BELIEVED?
I have, but these disciples of John in Acts 19:2 apparently did not, based on their answer to Paul, “we have not so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit.” This demonstrates they have not yet believed in Jesus Christ unto salvation. Paul further asked, "into what then were you baptized? They said, “into John’s baptism.” Then Paul said, “John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.” When they heard this, they were afterwards baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. There would have been no need to re-baptize them if they had already believed on Christ Jesus unto salvation. These disciples of John needed further instructions to become believers on Christ Jesus then afterwards, they received the Holy Spirit after Paul laid hands on them (which is an exception and not the rule in every case of conversion).

BUT YOUR EISEGESIS DOES NOT GO HAND IN HAND WITH (Luke 24:47; Acts 3:19; 5:31; 10:43-47; 11:17,18; 13:38-39; 15:7-9; 16:31; 26:18)

So have you received the Holy Ghost since you have believed?

If all you have to do is beleive then devils are also saved.

James 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.

The Actsers are akin to the Judaizers aka the circumcision group (Gal. 2:12) that Paul condemned.

TOP #132: Now that the Gospel has been revealed, the Mosaic law no longer keeps us prisoners. [Gal. 3:25] This truth is also taught in HB 7:18-10:1 by saying the old Mosaic law or covenant (not Abrahamic) has been superseded by the new covenant of Christ, the Gospel. Saving faith makes souls sons/children of God (TOP #38).

TOP #134: Continue to be free of the law by having faith in Christ so that you will not be “alienated” and become “fallen away from grace”. [Gal. 5:1-5, cf. Acts 15:1] This indicates the possibility of apostasy or intentionally repudiating saving faith (cf. HB 6:4-6).

TOP #135: The only thing that matters with regard to satisfying GRFS is having faith that is expressed through love. [Gal. 5:6&14, cf. TOP #27-29 & TOJ #129] Love in its various forms manifests the fruit of the Spirit (called the “new creation” in 6:15). Those who pervert this truth, thereby leavening the Gospel with heresy, deserve their penalty including emasculatiion (5:7-12).

TOP #140: The temptation to have sinful pride in one’s spirituality should be resisted. [Gal. 5:26 & 6:1-5] This may be done by reproving other’s sins gently/lovingly while testing one’s own actions and attitudes.

You leave out pieces that do not support WB being required for salvation, which is most of the NT and all of the OT.
So anytime you can't answer questions you do the sleep thing.

And you call me a toll.

So we good, I answered your questions?

I can tell you don't like the answers but I did the best I can do.
Yes it is a start, and thank you.

But if this is the best you can do :(

But you still have not answered them all. Again, I gave you a whole list of passages and asked you to show me the word baptism

AMEN we are suppose to LOVE one and the other it's not HIS will that anyone should Parrish so it's my job to share HIS word which is LOVE.

You are right it's not good deads why would you call a commanded to be baptized to get rid of our sins and dead or work?
Because it is a work you do. if you are doing to recieve something, its a work of righteousness you are doing to merit a reward.

Salvation is a gift. Not a reward.

It is by Grace through faith. Not by grace through faith and water baptism

1. How do you think we get rid of our sins?
2. How do we get washing of regeneration?
Jesus told you as did paul.

Dude you can not keep going back to one passage, especially when you have been shown the interpretation of that passage is flawed at best.

You have to go elsewhere.
3. WHY DO YOU SAY HE ONLY TOLD A FEW?
4. WHY ARE YOU TELLING ME WHAT IT SHOULD SAY?
Again, repent, 2nd person plural. - this is aa command told to everyone.

be baptized, 3rd person singular. this command is given to a different group of people and is not all inclusive.

not sure why you try to make it difficult.

again, the english text is flawed. sadly, the same word is used in 2nd person whether plural or singular in modern english.

1st person is the person doing the talking (peter)

2nd person is the people Peter is talking to (all of the people who where there)

so in the english translation. And peter said to them (they are the people in the aurience)

repent - sadly the pronoun (you) is missing in the modern text. In the Old English text. the plural form of the 2nd person pronoun (YE) is used.

38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Notice. the 2nd person plural YE refers back to the word repent. and the result is you will receive the gift of the spirit. YOU

now you come to the second issue. a 3rd person in English does not refer to the speaker. or to the people the speaker is talking to.

an example is I am speaking to you about her. or I am speaking to you about them.

so in no case is the translation correct. Because as I said. Peter was peaking to them, telling them to repent. and then speaking to a different group. and suggesting that they get baptized.

again, Literal translation would be this

Repent. and let (him, her, he, she,) (3rd person singular) get baptized.

it does not make sense..

Do you know what happens to those who modife HIS word?
Yes I do. so you better study and stop listening to a modified word.

Take heed

you added water baptism to John 3, and you have Peter saying somethign peter never said
Paul explains baptism.
Please show me the word water in this passage?

It says we were baptized (an action word) into Christ. it does not say into water

I think we need to get Rom 6 and acts 2 down first..

PRIDE. That salvation is by grace through faith and is not by works is not hard to understand. (Ephesians 2:8,9) It's just hard for works-salvationists to ACCEPT. It's a shame that human pride will not allow works-salvationists to place their faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. (Romans 4:5-6) Their hands are full of their works, and they will not let go in order to receive Christ through faith.
its no different really then jews adding the work of Circumcision.

Only this is less painful and easier to do..

So I say there are 4 components to be reborn.
1. Believe
2. Repent
3. Get baptized in JESUS name to get rid of our sins.
4. JESUS needs to fill us with HIS SPIRIT.
How can anyone believe if they have not repented? they can not

You have shown the typical religious way to heaven.

You have someone having faith without repenting (impossible)

then you have someone doing a work of righteousness

you need to rethink the order of things, and then you have to rethink who is baptizing you and into what

LOL, how can I if the word baptism in not in them.

Exactly

All of those passages are Jesus and Paul telling us how to be saved.

so why did they leave the word baptized (in water) out?

That is why we need ALL of his word, it's a big puzzle and all of the pieces must fit together.

You are leaving out a lot of those pieces.
Why would i need more

Jesus told this person or this group. this is how to be saved.

Paul told this group how to be saved.

so these people left believing this is how to be saved.

why would something so simple as Receive him and be baptized, not be said if this is what is required.

You showing a few verses on the whole string of verses telling us how to be saved, that appear to say we must be baptized. is not helping you.

We have GODS word and we have your oppion, sorry I think I will follow JESUS NOT YOU.
But your not following Jesus

Your following some person who told you you must be immersed in water by a sinner to be saved..

How do you get rid of your sins?

John 1: 11: 11 He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him. 12. But AS MANY AS HAVE RECIEVED HIM, to THEM he gave the right to become children, even TO THEM WHO BELIEVE 13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (no works)

John 3, FOR God so loved the world he gave his only son that WHOEVER BELIEVES (trusts) in him will NEVER PERISH, and LIVE FOREVER (eternal life) for the son was not sent to judge, but that the world might be saved, he who BELIEVES is NOT CONDEMNED, he who does not believe is condemned already (no works)

John 4: 13 Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, 14 but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will NEVER THIRST. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into EVERLASTING LIFE” (no works)

John 5: 24 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he whoever HEARS MY WORD and BELIEVES IN HIM WHO SENT ME who sent Me HAS ETERNAL LIFE and SHALL NOT COME INTO JUDGMENT but HAS PASSED FROM DEATH TO LIFE (No works)

John 6: 35 And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. HE WHO COMES TO ME shall NEVER HUNGER and he who BELIEVES IN ME shall NEVER THIRST (NO WORKS)

John 6: 37: and THE ONE WHO COMES TO ME I WILL BY NO MEANS CAST OUT 38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.

John 6: 47 Most assuredly, I say to you, HE WHO BELIEVES IN ME HAS EVERLASTING LIFE.

John 6: 63 It is the SPIRIT WHO GIVES LIFE ; the flesh profits nothing.

THE INHERITANCE HE SAID WE ALREADY HAD IN THE 1ST 12 VERSES. (AGAIN, NO WORKS)

eph 2: 4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses,MADE US ALIVE together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and RAISED US UP TOGETHER , and MADE US SIT TOGETHER IN HEAVENLY PLACES 7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For BY GRACE YOU HAVE BEEN SAVED (A COMPLETED ACTION) THROUGH FAITH , (AS MANY AS HAVE RECIEVED) and that NOT OF YOURSELVES ; it IS THE GIFT OF GOD, 9 NOT OF WORKS LEST ANYONE SHOULD BOAST (NO WORKS)

rom 4: 3 For what does the Scripture say?

OTHERWISE WORK IS NO LONGER WORK (AS i HAVE SAID NUMEROUS TIME, GRACE + WORKS = WORKS.. GRACE AND WORKS CAN NOT MIX IN THE AREA OF SALVATION. ITS LIKE MIXING OIL AND WATER)

2 Tim 1: 9 who HAS SAVED US (A COMPLETED ACTION) and called us with a holy calling, NOT ACCORDING TO OUR WORKS , but ACCORDING TO HIS OWN PURPOSE AND GRACE which was GIVEN TO US in Christ Jesus BEFORE TIME BEGAN (AGAIN, NO WORKS. BUT GRACE)

Titus 3: 4 But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, 5 NOT BY WORKS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS (GOOD DEEDS) WHICH WE HAVE DONE , but ACCORDING TO HIS MERCY HE SAVED US through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, 6 whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 that HAVING BEEN JUSTIFIED BY HIS GRACE we should become HEIRS ACCORDING TO THE HOPE OF ETERNAL LIFE
(AGAIN, NO QUESTION HERE. PAUL LEAVES NO QUESTION. NO GOOD DEED CAN SAVE US,. WE ARE SAVED BY GODS MERCY, AND GIVEN THE HOPE OF ETERNAL LIFE. WHICH IS PROMISED BEFORE TIME BEGAN

Titus 1: 2
in HOPE OF ETERNAL LIFE which GOD WHO CAN NOT LIE PROMISED BEFORE TIME BEGAN

this is what our faith is in, the grace and mercy of God. not our deeds.

do any one of these things, and you will be saved
