PRIDE. That salvation is by grace through faith and is not by works is not hard to understand. (Ephesians 2:8,9) It's just hard for works-salvationists to ACCEPT. It's a shame that human pride will not allow works-salvationists to place their faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. (Romans 4:5-6) Their hands are full of their works, and they will not let go in order to receive Christ through faith.

Are you trying to "add" to what Jesus said we must do in order to be saved in John 6:40? This also lines up with what Jesus said in John 3:15,16,18; 6:29,40,47; 11:25,26. Simply BELIEVES.

Instead of getting hung up on one or two pet verses in an effort to accommodate a biased church doctrine, you need to properly harmonize scripture with scripture before reaching your conclusion on doctrine.

In Acts 2:38, "for the remission of sins" does not refer back to both clauses, "you all repent" and "each one of you be baptized," but refers only to the first. Peter is saying "repent unto the remission of your sins," the same as in Acts 3:19. The clause "each one of you be baptized" is parenthetical. This is exactly what Acts 3:19 teaches except that Peter omits the parenthesis.

*Also compare the fact that these Gentiles in Acts 10:45 received the gift of the Holy Spirit (compare with Acts 2:38 - the gift of the Holy Spirit) and this was BEFORE water baptism. (Acts 10:47)

In Acts 10:43 we read ..whoever believes in Him receives remission of sins. Again, these Gentiles received the gift of the Holy Spirit - Acts 10:45 - when they believed on the Lord Jesus Christ - Acts 11:17 - (compare with Acts 16:31 - Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved) BEFORE water baptism - Acts 10:47. This is referred to as repentance unto life - Acts 11:18.

So I say there are 4 components to be reborn.
1. Believe
2. Repent

In regard to John 3:22, by this time Jesus' conversation with Nicodemus is over with and He has moved on. John 3:22 - After these things Jesus and His disciples came into the land of Judea, and there He was spending time with them and baptizing. Verse 22 is out of context with verse 5. What is still in context with verse 5 are verses 14-18.

The big problem is you think just believing in his gains you access to Heaven, am I wrong?

If so, you don't think we have to get rid of our sins to be reborn.

You also don't think it's necessary for JESUS to fill us with HIS spirit.

And they are two components of being reborn.

Why did you place repent "after" believe? Repent actually precedes believe. Matthew 21:32 - For John came to you to show you the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes did. Jesus did not say water baptism in John 3:5. Jesus connects living water with eternal life in John 4:10,14; 7:37-39. We also see where the Bible connects the word with water and associates it with cleansing and being born again. (John 15:3; Ephesians 5:26; 1 Peter 1:23) So, to automatically read "baptism" into John 3:5 simply because it mentions "water" is unwarranted.

Condemnation rests on unbelief and not on a lack of baptism. *NOWHERE does the Bible say, "baptized or condemned."

If water baptism is absolutely required for salvation, then we would expect Jesus to mention it in the following verses. again, the english text is flawed. sadly, the same word is used in 2nd person whether plural or singular in modern english.

1st person is the person doing the talking (peter)

2nd person is the people Peter is talking to (all of the people who where there)

so in the english translation. And peter said to them (they are the people in the aurience)

repent - sadly the pronoun (you) is missing in the modern text. In the Old English text. the plural form of the 2nd person pronoun (YE) is used.

PRIDE. That salvation is by grace through faith and is not by works is not hard to understand. (Ephesians 2:8,9) It's just hard for works-salvationists to ACCEPT. It's a shame that human pride will not allow works-salvationists to place their faith in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. (Romans 4:5-6) Their hands are full of their works, and they will not let go in order to receive Christ through faith.

eph 2: 4 But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses,MADE US ALIVE together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and RAISED US UP TOGETHER , and MADE US SIT TOGETHER IN HEAVENLY PLACES 7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For BY GRACE YOU HAVE BEEN SAVED (A COMPLETED ACTION) THROUGH FAITH , (AS MANY AS HAVE RECIEVED) and that NOT OF YOURSELVES ; it IS THE GIFT OF GOD, 9 NOT OF WORKS LEST ANYONE SHOULD BOAST (NO WORKS)

rom 4: 3 For what does the Scripture say? “ABRAHAM BELIEVED GOD AND HE ACOUNTED IT TO HIM AS RIGHTEOUSNESS.” 4 Now TO HIM WHO WORKS, THE WAGES ARE NOT COUNTED AS GRACE BUT DEBT (Works cancels out grace. and makes it a wage) 5 But TO HIM WHO DOES NOT WORK but BELIEVES ON HIM WHO JUSTIFIES THE UNGOLDY , his HIS FAITH IS ACCOUNTED FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS (AGAIN NO WORKS. PERIOD)

Titus 3: 4 But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, 5 NOT BY WORKS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS (GOOD DEEDS) WHICH WE HAVE DONE , but ACCORDING TO HIS MERCY HE SAVED US through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, 6 whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, 7 that HAVING BEEN JUSTIFIED BY HIS GRACE we should become HEIRS ACCORDING TO THE HOPE OF ETERNAL LIFE
