Romans 3 v 9B-18~ Jews and Greeks alike are all under sin. As it is written, “There is no one righteous, not even one. There is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one. Their throats are open graves; their tongues practice deceit. The venom of vipers is on their lips. Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness. Their feet are swift to shed blood; ruin and misery lie in their wake, and the way of peace they have not known. There is no fear of God before their eyes.”

Luke18-25-27.png

Luke 18 verses 25-27 (Matthew 19 verses 24-26, Mark 10 verses 25-27) “Indeed, it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” Those who heard this asked, “Who then can be saved?” But Jesus said, “What is impossible with man is possible with God.”

These are saved people verses.

I'm talking about the choice to follow God once God makes Himself known.

Nice try (y)

There's not a thing in the passages I quoted that qualifies those statements to pertain only to saved people. In fact, how do you get that out of texts like Act 4:23-28; Rom 9:14-18; Dan 5:23; Prov 21:1; Jer 10:23, etc.

You should pray really hard to God to DIRECT YOUR STEPS by correcting your overworked, overwrought, hyperactive, underpaid, darkened imagination. Most of those passages simply use the generic, commonly understood term "man" or "man's" (as in mankind['s]).

Pathetic try! (n)

No...a compound word can be shortened and used as one word, Mr. BS.

BS.

Misleading.

BS.

What does that mean to you?

Yes, brain death is commonly abbreviated as BD.

And? How would a person abbreviate to make it include "syndrome."

Are you BD?

It is so, because it is the answer.
You need to find a pastor who will not instinctively sense what he knows you will want to hear, and then reinforce it.

You need someone who has the capacity and ability to objectively present what the Greek and Hebrew say, while not giving a darn if you resent it, or despise it. Thus, leaving you to be without excuse before God.

Here is what we find today in spades....

For the time will come when people will not tolerate/put up with sound doctrine.
Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of
teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. 2 Timothy 4:3

You found yours.

Telling you just what you want/desire something to mean.
While forcing in verses, to make it look like it is so.

Only sound exegesis can save us from that sort of corruption.

You think God would not supply us with teachers of such a good quality?

Not anywhere near the extent that "you found yours". You live to have your ears tickled and to listen to Satan's question to every day: "Hath God really said...?"

Alright.... You came here to mock Christians.
Most likely, grew up with a Christian background that you want to take revenge upon.

You suffer from Christian mocking syndrome. CMS.
Not, CM.

Germans like to make one word out of an entire sentence...

No surprise.

The Greek of the Bible did not have punctuation and periods.

The earliest Greek New Testament manuscripts were written in what scholars refer to as
scriptio continua, a style characterized by continuous script without word spacing, punctuation,
or lowercase letters.

That is why a pastor knowing skillfully the original languages can be a gold mine of extracting details pertaining to Truth
that God wants believers to master.

You should only be so blessed! But because you say that "I see", your blindness (guilt, sin) remain.

I certainly try to be blind to the vile hatred you and Magenta have been spewing out but there comes a time when one has to stop trying to explain anything because one knows there is no thought for discussion behind such behaviour.

Have a nice Day :)

It came to my attention recently that when the natural man who does not comprehend the gospel is mentioned, some (many more than one) of our free willers have no idea who that refers to! They are so busy ascribing to the natural man what only the spiritual man is capable of that they completely overlook what the Bible actually says of either of them. Overlook, contradict, and outright deny.

In 1 Cor 2 verse 14, the natural man, still unsaved, cannot comprehend the spiritual things of God. He does not understand Christ’s atoning sacrifice, for that is foolishness to him (1 Cor 1 verse 18). The Holy Spirit Himself must convict him of its reality, and of his standing before God (John 16 verses 7-11).So this natural man is unregenerated, one who does not have the Holy Spirit residing within him. As Jesus said, “Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit” (John 3 verse 6).

Anybody want to start a list of the accusations cast in our direction so far?

We have been called:
-"blasphemers"
-full of "BS"
-we believe "garbage"
-we "listen to Satan"
-we propound "inane straw man drivel"
-our opinions are "diaper fumes"
-@magenta called a wonderful top notch pastor "that old heretic"

There are many more of similar sentiment. Add to the list those that you have encountered if you feel obliged to do so.

You dish well. Not so much with the taking.

CV5 is probably a lifelong subscriber to Dish Network. And this coming from a guy who thinks sinful Adam is the human race's superhero and succumbed to Satan's temptation, and exercised faith toward God afterwards.:rolleyes:

Just follow the trail of worms.
.... You will know them by their fruit.

They who feel free to be that way, claim they have no free will.
