If it is as you say, it would read...faith comes by hearing the word of God. But it doesn't say that. It says faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

If faith came by hearing the word of God, everyone who audibly heard the word of God would have faith. Instead, faith is spiritually produced. I explained how a number of posts back.

Faith is not spiritually produced.

Faith is not spiritually produced.
These are the gifts of spirit according to scripture Administration, being an apostle, discernment, evangelism, exhortation, faith, giving, healing, helps, hospitality, knowledge, leadership, mercy, prophecy, serving, speaking in tongues, teaching or shepherding, and wisdom

I gave the answer Paul gave to the Philippian jailer. Not good enough for you?

Nice try.

So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.” 32 Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house.
Acts 16:32

You believe they were saved apart from the word of God?

Faith that saves is. This isn't to say there isn't a natural faith. There certainly is. But
a faith not produced by the Spirit employing the word of God won't save anyone.
She does not believe faith is a gift, so how can it be spiritually produced? She believes
her flesh produced her faith. From the depths of her incurably wicked heart out of which
no good can come, POOF! She does the very thing Jesus says is impossible.

Faith is faith.
It is the object of the faith that matters.
No faith is not simply faith if it were anyone who has faith in their own religion would be saved But supernatural faith that only comes from the spirit of God is an entirely different faith

That has been their answer. Look at post #6271.

Dad? Yes?

What must I do to be saved?

I believe You are children of promise.
