I suffer from scrupleocity: excessive unease and torment over your sins, mistakes, and breach of scruples. This manifests in compulsive confession, dwelling on your errors excessively, not forgiving yourself, finding sin or mistakes you overlooked, and etc.

Martin Luther who started The Reformation and Ignatius of Loyola who founded The Jesuits were afflicted with scrupleocity.

Catholics call it Catholic Guilt and Protestants might inclined to say its OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) of the Spirit.

Anyone else afflicted or have something like it?

Every day there is a new whatever people suffer with.
Maybe I got it but just don't know I got it.

It’s not that bad.
The whole BDF is DejaView.
Well it should be so since we are all discussing The Bible, ergo we have all read it, or plan to do so. For me it is very deja vue since I have rad it so many times I cannot give the umber. DEJA BU.

I know what you mean brother but in the sense of “discussing a topic to death” BDF is more appropriate to describe this phenomenon where “you’ve seen a thread before” but with a new twist. lol

Sorry, I don’t want to take any more time from the OP but tomorrow I might have something for him.
I did tell him on another topic that what he’s experiencing is a sign of growth actually which involves wisdom, forgiveness and as a bonus you get even more humility because the OP is thinking things which brings you closer to God and to surrender to Him completely.

There mostlkey always will be newbies in the forum, but even if not so, the Word is worth repeating, even in a forum.

I used to. What worked for me was eliminating those things from my life which were causing me to feel guilty; and then moving on to a closer walk with Him. You can't serve two masters.

Except this is historically something people suffered from, like Martin Luther and Ignatius of Loyola..
Sorry for the foot in mouth post.
It was not aimed at you or any other person.
It was about the medical profession that seems to come up with a new name for any situation that comes into peoples lives. A way for another specialist to make more money.
I had a medical situation come up a few years ago. My doctor said her profession had several names for my situation but it was just the fact I was an old man who had kept doing things that I was to old to do anymore.
She is old school and I like the way she explains things to me and my options.
She told me I was in good shape to be so old. She used a couple of colorful adjectives I will not repeat.
Her point was I am old and need to realize it and slow down.

All the sufferers I have known have been RCC.
Jesus remembers our sins no more once we repent and turn, it is the adversary who brings this torment.

Ecclesiastes 1 verses 9-10 What has been will be again, and what has been done will be done again; there is nothing new under the sun. Is there a case where one can say, "Look, this is new"? It has already existed in the ages before us.
