I have a post up called The Glorious Return. In that post are three scripture verses where Jesus makes a plain statement regarding His corning return. In each of those statements He represents His return as something that will be happening within the lifetimes of individuals whom He is speaking to.

So far, every person who has responded has provided an explanation that refuses to take Christ literally, but allegorized or spiritualized His words.

Christ said He would come quickly.

According to the Dispy's Christ is either a liar or a fool who can't tell time. Which is it?

If you and I are planning a get together and I tell your something to the effect of, "See ya soon", like " Behold, I come quickly", would you think that soon was referring to 2000 years from now?

Unless Christ is speaking a parable, His words should always be taken literally.

Thanks for insulting me "brother", its just what I needed this morning.

My sons birthday is today. I would call Him to say I love you very much and Happy Birthday, but he would hang up on me as soon as he heard my voice. Why? Let's just say that my ex wife did a number on him and leave it there.

My other son hasn't spoken to me in years because I pleaded with him a little too aggressively to not take the shot.

Same for my youngest daughter. She was planning on getting married and I tried to warn her that the shot was making people infertile, all easily verified by existing data. Instead of honoring her father so that her life might be long upon the earth, she cut me off.

My oldest daughter who claims to be a Christian has never gotten over the divorce, we don't speak either.

I have eight grandchildren whom I love dearly, and yet may never see again.

I come to these forums for fellowship, to discuss in good faith the Holy Word of God, and to hopefully contribute in some meaningful way to the Kingdom.

A proper and Godly response to my statement might have been, "that's an interesting take, how did you come to that conclusion?"

But no, that's not what we do around here, is it?

So thanks, I had had about enough anyway. Enough of the insults, the accusations, the Trump worship, the Israel worship, the Darby Delusions, the name calling, jingoism, etc etc.

There are some wonderful, loving, patient, kind, insightful, spirit filled, forgiving, merciful, humble and repentant people on this sight. I'm grateful for their kind words and wise counsel.

And then there's the other 90% of the forum.

Folks like you, who immediately reject and ridicule that which they do not understand. And not in a kind way. Don't get me wrong, I'm not above the fray, but at least I have the ability through the Spirit of Christ to recognize my own behavior and repent of it when necessary. And that's what I'm doing now.
Repenting of ever visiting this ungodly website.

I just wanted a place where I could go and talk with other people about my Savior, share my experience and all that Christ has done and is doing in my life, and hear from others what He is doing in their lives and maybe learn something.

What I found was a group of rigid, judgmental, self important, self righteous pharisees. Who shout anyone down who even slightly disagrees with them. Do you have any idea how many times I've been told right here in this forum that I'm not even a believer because I don't happen to agree with someone's particular eschatology or religious ideology, or because I didn't worship Donald Trump, or because I dared to speak up about the wholesale slaughter of tens of thousands of innocent women and children in Gaza?
Its more than I can count.

This place is sick. Christ is not glorified. And sincere seekers of truth are vilified.
What must the lost be thinking when they come here to take a closer look into Jesus? I'll tell you what they think, everything I just mentioned above.

I have no idea why you brought all your personal issues and problems into a Biblical discussion.
Further, I hope you realize, EVERYONE has problems and issues. Not just you.

Having said that, I’m very sorry you are going through all that, and sorry for not choosing my words a bit more carefully.

I can see how it might look like this. Don't think it is. Still no matter if it is or isn't, we ALL must be doing the work of the Kingdom and walking out our relationship with Him.

There is a misunderstanding about the tribulation

Let's walk through this logically, the resurrection of Jesus from the dead was a massive victory, in the same way the rapture of the saints is a massive victory. This will crown the gospel. When the sixth seal is opened it says the rulers and great men of the earth hide themselves under the mountains because the great day of the wrath of the lamb has come. Everyone on earth knows that Jesus Christ is the lamb. Prior to the rapture they say "there are many religions, who knows who is right" but no one is saying that after the rapture. There is a lot of similarity among religions, but the one thing that stands out for Christians is the rapture. That is how you know that it is the wrath of the lamb, because of the rapture.

We are also told that when the manchild is caught up the fallen angels are cast down to the earth and that Satan is really angry because he knows his time is short. The tribulation is the end game when Satan knows he has lost and he is going to behave as a very bad loser.

So think of the rapture as the Lord pulling the first string off the field. When I played football we had 40 kids on the team but only 11 were on the field at any one time. Everyone else was a spectator. Just because you were on the bench doesn't mean you wanted to be, the problem was that you weren't on the first string. So the Lord pulls them off so you can get a turn on the field. You pull the first string off when the game is won, after the rapture the game is won.

But you might say, what about all these demons and angels and plagues and famines and horrible stuff that takes place? All of those things were part of Satan's toolkit for the entire church age, the difference is he was able to operate in the shadows, secretly, in the dark. Think about a poisonous snake, it likes to hide in the shadows and when you walk by then it strikes. But now this snake is out in the open, everyone can see it. That is not how snakes and scorpions like to operate. When you can't see these things then Satan can tell you that he is not real, that is his greatest deception. But during the tribulation he can't say that anymore. Imagine being able to preach the gospel when everyone knows that Satan is real and that Jesus Christ is Lord and that the gospel of Jesus Christ is the true gospel and that Jesus has the power of life and death. That would be a cakewalk.

But what about the mark of the beast and getting your head chopped off if you refuse it? That is like the very best testimony ready made for you. Many people don't like to preach the gospel because they don't know what to say.

But here it is simple,

Antichrist's henchman: "will you take the mark of the beast?"

Believer: "No."

AH: "OK then we will chop your head off."

B: "No problem I put my trust in the name of Jesus Christ, the firstborn from the dead."

The clear misunderstanding is thinking Satan is winning, his entire kingdom is unravelling, it is build on unrighteousness, that is a foundation that is built on sand. The tribulation is the collapse of his kingdom because he has lost.

Replacement the word so in Romans 11:26 with the word then, changing and so all Israel will be saved into a promise of salvation for all or some of those who have the right genetics.

And most relevant to this, changing the singular people of God into two separate people!
The Book of Hebrews was written to Jewish converts, there were many Jewish converts after 33 AD and then there were Gentile converts too, all due to the efforts of spreading the Gospel.
Think about what this doctrine you hold to actually does.

His Bride was an historical subset of all believers as part of the end of the OT age (the time of temple made of stone) into the new, where the Temple is now the body which houses the Spirit of God for born from above believers.

One Tree, one plan of salvation, one covenant, the "believers" were redeemed through faith by grace in the OT just like in the NT.
