You seem anti- Pentecostal. Did you get burned by a similar church? I've been there, burned by an entire Pentecostal state district. :)
Is it not Jesus Himself who make us get burned ? I make my Christian life not depend from a church ore denomination.

Again the speaking in tongues in acts 19 is mentioned for to proof that the Gospel is also for the disciples of John the Baptist which knew only the baptism of John the Baptist.
That is the for contact as you refuse to listen to what Peter said it was " This is that " and Jesus himself is the baptized in the Holly Spirit as John the Baptist said in John chapter 1 :33

"I did not know him, but he who sent me to baptize with water said to me, 'On whom you see the Spirit descending and remaining, this is he who baptizes with the Holy Spirit.

Jesus said you shall received power 1:8 to be a witness

You are not properly using Joel and not taking all that was said about the event in Acts 2. in other texts. That called Elitcing.

The Acts 19 account reveals what everyone must believe and obey in order to experience the NT rebirth. Jesus prophesied concerning this. Repentance and remission of sin must be preached in His name (a reference to NT water baptism) to all nations beginning in Jerusalem. (Luke 24:47)

But this is not the text! You use your word as written word!
I was in no way trying to imply the Bible recorded something it did not. If you will notice I did not include quotation marks in my post. This indicates the words were not a direct quote from the Bible. However, my point was the Holy Spirit is unable to lead those who are not willing to be led.

"WHAT ARE QUOTATION MARKS? Quotation marks, double (“”) or single (''), are generally used for direct quotes, certain titles, and words used in a special manner." I included quotation marks to indicate this was a direct quote about the use of quotation marks from the Internet.

Quatation Marks ore not, your post suggest that this is written in the vers. For someone who dont read ore dont know the vers must understand that this what was your point, belongs to the vers. And this is wrong.

Think what you want. If you claim that without speaking in tongues someone has not the Holy Spirit it is false teaching.

The experience begun at Pentecost has continued throughout church history and is not exclusive to certain denominations as you suggest.

Jesus pointed out the Heavenly Father will give the Holy Spirit to those who ask. The problem is many don't ask because they believe they already have the Holy Spirit.

Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled. (Matt. 5:6)
This is no answer to my post!!!

Hmm some of this is like your standing in a Library and someone walks up to you and asks "do you know where I can find a book about...." Its amazing what I just found.. but praise GOD.

So this bible we read for you is it God (sweet holy Spirit) talking or that comes and goes? When we read about speaking in tongues is it just Paul talking or the holy spirit? Its written I wish that all of you could speak in tongues". Ok I can't just skip that and jump to "but even more that you prophesied" because I personally don't believe don't like what ever all this "tongue talk". Cute what I did there huh..yeah haha. Get it? Speaking in tongues.. tongue talk.. you have a tongue? Pfft. Smile

So if I look at my own life as an example I was saved before receiving the holy spirit. Now the ones I was around Pent, AOG, Charsma, Wof so forth so on. Yet never once did anyone say "if you do not speak in tongues or your not baptized with the holy spirit you not saved". Be so wonderful if just stop lumping all together. Ken Hagin on TBN talking about the gifts and speaking in tongues when Paul and Jan were very young said "if you don't believe in speaking in tongues and the gifts.. praise the lord you are saved. You know Jesus Christ and that is what matters". Not exact words but.

So I was found by Christ at what around 9y old and at 15-16 they just asked once if I wanted the holy spirit. Praise GOD no one to put doubt in my mind. Well they never said anything just read what the bible said nothing else. Read John 3 16-17. Ok who said that? Now read Luke 11 13 who said that? What I see is GOD saying GOD will GIVE.. I don't care what man says.. GOD is giving something? I want it.. ever time. He can't lie.. He had just said.. you ask for the holy spirt you won't be saying.. a GOD this is a fish not the holy spirit? Hello?

Peter.. I want that gift of the holy Spirit. Have you received the holy spirit since you believed? What am I to follow WOF or Baptist or Catholics? Its happening right here. Not GOD telling us the "facts" no its just man based on truth mixed with personal feelings belief.

So Paul .. I believe it was GOD that wished all to speak in tongues. Not the first time that GOD wanted something for us but we cry we beg to have something different. We can back up to GOD saying .... "Listen to all that the people are saying to you; it is not you they have rejected, but they have rejected me as their king." And.. He gave them what they wanted.... man this hurts so much.. They rejected me.

So I was saved before but from that day to know me at 64. Other then Him finding me at 9y .. reciving the sweet sweet holy Spirit..oh.. He changed my life for ever. HAha thinking. if I'm listing to music where ever we are (always hello) it has to be something about Him ..always.. Hes my Father.. GOD and.. everything I do say hear.. speak has to be about Him. So haha she gave up trying to have me be quite. It bubbles up from with in..every time.. always there. A joy unspeakable.. so I tend to sing.. and oh to hold back.. to not through up my hands.. and praise HIM!

Whats the point Danny.. sorry. I just read what He said in His word. I listen to others but in the end.. I have to find the truth my self. He wished to those he was talking all spoke in tongues but he knew who he was talking to and said "but even more that you prophesied". I read they did that stuff in the OT. That's not even happening.. all the time. I can think of a very few that do it.. post even here :)

So maybe we should be like Christ.. not my will be done but yours. So ask Him from your heart..have to mean it.. what do you want Father to give me? Yeah.. He loves to give..its so much oh better then receiving. I am not good with word but.. haha wow blessed my self allot here.. .. shouting TIME!

Paul did not say I wish all of you could speak in tongues. What he said was, "I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all:" 1 Cor. 14:18

Paul's words on the subject, "But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his." Romans 8:9

Believing involves obeying.

"And being made perfect, he (Jesus) became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;" Heb. 5:9
Yea brother I agree . I’m sorry for the delay in replying I haven’t been keeping up with my notifications as well as I should or missed them somehow .

I agree with what you said there. It’s the same concept as “faith without works being dead “

awe have to hear what he said and believe first , and then we’ll obey through faith as we learn from the gospel . What I mean is in Jesus teachings he teaches us we need to learn from and obey him .

what I mean is If we do this part first

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11:28-30‬ ‭

then well Know what to believe and obey because he teaches us as we persevere in his teachings . We find things like this whoch teach us we need to obey his teachings .

“And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like: he is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.

But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭6:46-49‬ ‭KJV‬‬

And also in blunt manner like this

“I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭13:3‬ ‭

I believe that if we hear and believe the gospel then we will begin to understand the gospel better and through that process of hearing his word we receive faith that makes us able to obey more and more because we’re hearing what he actually taught . Mostly we never really hear the teachings of Jesus and his apostles but just a single verse or two plucked from somewhere

the bo le is meant to learn from about God , about human kind and our own self , about the world and the promises of God that haven’t yet been seen by man ect really our existance and purpose is learned from listening to our God and the word he gave us to hear

we need to obey him I agree but that is something he gives us strength and grace to come to realizing first we have to believe in Jesus and bear the gospel then we can begin to obey it. hesring and believing the gospel is where salvation really is that will lead any believer to obey him and be saved

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭1:16-17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the catch is we can’t just believe things we want to be true about God and salvation we need to accept the things he actually taught in the gospel aboit God and salvation then we’ll o ow we need to repent and obey and we have an eternity with him in peace and life as the result of walking in faith we just need to hear it first and believe

for example if I believe that baptism on Jesus name is for the remission of my sins , I’m going to act . If I don’t believe baptism means anything I probably won’t bother . If we first believe right then we’ll act right we need to believe …. Jesus calls us to repentance and obedience but many people don’t believe that

I have answered your posts with scripture. It is written/revealed in all detailed accounts that 100% of those who received the Holy Spirit spoke in tongues. It is your perogative whether to accept or reject what scripture reveals.

that because you are a rebel. we are all part of the Body of Christ, and He is the head of that body. 1Corthians Paul teaches the Body and how the gifts of the Holy Spirit are needed in the church setting. And Jesus said that too in Actsa 1:8 and MARK 16 AND in Luke 24:49 :)

Not at all. You choose to ingore the biblical text provided, which refutes your understanding
I ignore not the scripture, but false teachings.
You interprete the scripture according your view. Well you can do it. But it is no guarant for the truth.
