That's because they can only export it. The locals got tired of being ripped off long ago.Oddly enough I went into a cheese shop in Switzerland and they didn't have any "Swiss" cheese.
My Italian friends keep asking me to bring a can because they didn't believe it actually exists...I'm sorry, but you've reached the wrong thread.
Cheez Whiz needs to go in the thread for Foods That Belong in the Lake of Fire!![]()
As long as they sell it by the pound (or kilo) you aren't getting cheated. That's because they can only export it. The locals got tired of being ripped off long ago.
Sorry. I'm not paying for missing cheese. As long as they sell it by the pound (or kilo) you aren't getting cheated.
They found out nobody would eat it when they visit Switzerland, because tourists insist on eating only imported cheese. The cheese in Switzerland is domestic. Far inferior.Oddly enough I went into a cheese shop in Switzerland and they didn't have any "Swiss" cheese.
I have a good friend who's a great cook -- she made a big pot of mac'n'cheese, and it looked scrumptious -- until she started adding mass amounts of Velveeta cheese cubes. I just couldn't. I don't know why, but I just don't like the product an any other form other than pre-wrapped slices.
Sometimes I intentionally don't want others in the kitchen with me when I'm cooking for the simple fact that certain people see certain things go into it an are like.
But if they didn't see it, they likely would've never known and would otherwise enjoy it (yes, I have this conversation in the kitchen and grocery store with my kids quite often)
Yikes! That's twice fingernail image didn't work but it's still gorgeousFar less keen on straight cheese than when i was young but Boursin cream cheese with garlic and herbs is still irresistible to me. Can still eat this size pack by just finger dipping!

I'm not fluent in French (okay! okay! I know almost no French) and had to look that one up. I knew brie was going to be different, but didn't know what to change it to (too early, brains not awake, might need to get someC'est la brie.
Ya know what...Cherche la creme.
The original is a common saying, cherche la femme. The literal translation is, look for the woman. Colloquially it means in every mystery, you can probably solve it if you find where and how the woman was involved in it.Ya know what...
after my last curious quest, I'm not even going to try and cherche this one![]()
