I cannot get the S icon to change into an avatar , nothing happens when I click on the S to set my avatar . It's no big deal , it wouldn't b a photo of me, it would b my cat , he's much better looking than me . I'd like to b able to do it though 😻

It takes a little bit more than that here. Go to your account and access settings. There will be something there about your avatar.

Also, howdy and welcome to the Forum.

I didn't even use a picture of my own cat. I used the stock lynx photo from Wikipedia. I used it for the same reason you are using your cat's picture though. He looks better than I do.

Specifically:

On this page right here, tap on your own nickname. You will get a smaller window with some stats. On that new window, tap on your own nickname again. It will go to a completely different page with a full breakdown of your stats. In this window, that S circle should be a square, with an invitation to edit avatar.

Think I just posted the picture of my cat that I want as my avatar 😞 but not as my avatar , as a message 🙄 I will figure it out eventually . Meanwhile u all know what my cat looks like ! 😻

Click your avatar at the top right hand side of the page and then hover over your larger avatar, it will say "edit avatar" so you click that...

Yes it does , followed your instructions exactly and everything u said would happen did.....except once I get to the page with the square S and I try to choose a file or press anything on that page , absolutely nothing at all happens 😒

Strange... It works on my end.

Maybe try it in a different browser. Some things work on Firefox that don't work on Google Chrome, and some things work on Google Chrome that don't work in Microsoft edge. Browsers are weird that way.

Might want to crop that picture to just his head though. In the circle form that appears on most pages, most of the details along the edges will be lost. That will probably include his eyes and ears.
