I figure it's the dread T word at work. I was at a forum where such a one as that would be blocked from the thread their poor character insisted be derailed by their posts.

A great idea imo.

Yeah I have seen game forums where you can be kicked out if you keep deliberately derailing a thread.

But those forums are for a very specific purposes. This forum is for general chitchat. Moderate derails can actually be beneficial.

Of course the current political memes have gone way beyond moderate. Extended deliberate derailing is still considered rude. But there is no official rule about it on this forum, and no banning. We just roll our eyes and talk around the rude person, much like you would in real life at a movie theater where people insist on talking loudly during the show.

Sounds like when a friend of mine was going to a local fair to sell food at one of the booths. I wanted to ask her if the food she was selling there was of reasonable quality, and if it was at a decent price. So I asked her if she was selling fair fair fare at a fair fair fare.

When others have posted material I found particularly unfunny or lame, I would just skip over it, but I appreciate you putting it this way, as you seem to be a fair-minded fellow. In future, I will try to share material that better matches the sensibilities and humour of the other participants, but I will try to refrain from posting here for a while (unless I come across something I find so funny that I am bursting to share!)

Since we're on the subject of movies, I thought the below was an appropriate parting post to share.

Really they are funny but very often reveal the truth so important. A
