There's probably multiple reasons for why he has Musk doing this. It's a good idea to jump the gap though like you have and bring up SS because it's only going to begin with Federal employees being accounted for. After they work out those bugs and can account for all the Federal employees then it will shift to accounting for all of the actual US citizens who are the tax payers paying those federal employees. In doing so issues like illegal migrants will become a thing of the past because there will be those US citizens scanned into the system and the ones in the US not documented will no longer be able to access it's finances. That's why it's important to link AI in this then the Orb iris scan from Altman will allow citizens to pay their bills or make purchases at stores but those not documented will be denied payment and purchase privilege because they are not in the system.

You know, i've been here (in US) long enough to know that this is how the system was in the 90s.
This is why me or my family were educated enough to know that you should not go in any country (US included) without documents, because without documents you don't exist on paper.
I know a few people here who are without documents or their status is in limbo.
For example a woman who came from Romania is married for 30+ years to a Romanian man and they've been in US for like 20 years and because she came in here with a fake passport, she cannot leave the country because if she leaves she will never return and see her children.
This rule existed before Trump by the way, but the Dems had turned illegal immigration into tourism where you can come in, you get free hotel, credit cards and then if you do a little unlawful things like killing and raping we will forgive you too.
So that's exactly how things should be. If you're not legal in ANY country, you don't exist on paper.
And if you're willing to live that kinda life ... then you do you.

I've posted this in other threads but will again here. As the Orb iris scan is integrated into the documentation of who is and who is not a US citizen it will no longer matter who crosses the border illegally or legally. When they go into a grocery store or to buy gas or any other transaction AI will recognize them one from the other. In the example you gave she is similar to a Got Away but it will no longer matter if they scan their iris at the border crossings or if they slip through a hole in the wall without being detected. But a basic principle is that when you exist as a person in the modern world (or even the ancient world) people were recorded in documents, such as a birth certificate.
So today where things are more complex, people need more than a birth certificate to become legal members of a society where they can collect and contribute the benefits of the society.
So if this new system (Orb Iris) will help to further strengthen this principle then keep going.
When you come into this world, your parents give you a name and the hospital gives you a birth certificate.
So if you want to go into another country illegally without ANY documents then you don't exist on paper or legally.

No way to clean up a mess this big without a whole lot of people getting dirty. Bernie Madoff was exposed as a result of the financial crisis in 2007 and 2008 and everyone needing to get their money from him. Same thing will happen here, you drain the swamp you find a whole lot of dead bodies.
