What exactly was unbiblical about Rev. Mariann Budde prayer service?

I don't mean her or her philosophy/faith/beliefs. But what is unbiblical about asking for mercy for people?

"Let me make one final plea, Mr. President. Millions have put their trust in you and, as you told the nation yesterday, you have felt the providential hand of a loving God. In the name of our God, I ask you to have mercy upon the people in our country who are scared now. There are gay, lesbian and transgender children in Democratic, Republican, and Independent families, some who fear for their lives. The people who pick our crops and clean our office buildings; who labor in poultry farms and meat packing plants; who wash the dishes after we eat in restaurants and work the night shifts in hospitals. They…may not be citizens or have the proper documentation. But the vast majority of immigrants are not criminals. They pay taxes and are good neighbors. They are faithful members of our churches and mosques, synagogues, gurudwaras and temples. I ask you to have mercy, Mr. President, on those in our communities whose children fear that their parents will be taken away. And that you help those who are fleeing war zones and persecution in their own lands to find compassion and welcome here. Our God teaches us that we are to be merciful to the stranger, for we were all once strangers in this land. May God grant us the strength and courage to honor the dignity of every human being, to speak the truth to one another in love and walk humbly with each other and our God for the good of all people. Good of all people in this nation and the world. Amen”

I believe it was simply because she appealed to Trump to do something he's utterly incapable of. She basically called attention to this without actually accusing him anything. It struck a nerve with the Donald and a lot of the "Christian" right. He hates anything that shows him in any kind of bad light. The humiliating part for Donald was he had to just sit there and listen. It wasn't like she was Rosie; he could just jump up and hurl insults at her. That would've made him look even worse.

I doubt there's much I'd agree with this woman about, but pleading for mercy and compassion; well, it doesn't get any more Christian than that.

I noticed a request for mercy without any reference toward any sort of repentance. That is what seemed 'unbiblical' to me, as that was conspicuously missing.

Well she's flat out lying for starters. No one is "scared for their lives". That's just nonsense. As far as the Bible we don't support homosexuality and there is no such thing as transgender.

The people who pick our crops and clean our office buildings; who labor in poultry farms and meat packing plants; who wash the dishes after we eat in restaurants and work the night shifts in hospitals. If you came here illegally, you committed a crime. It's not that you don't have the proper documentation, you broke the law. She knows this, so she's lying again.

I ask you to have mercy, Mr. President, on those in our communities whose children fear that their parents will be taken away. And that you help those who are fleeing war zones and persecution in their own lands to find compassion and welcome here.
Again, if you came illegally you broke the law. People fleeing war zones seek asylum. There are ways to come legally.

Our God teaches us that we are to be merciful to the stranger, for we were all once strangers in this land.
There were borders in the Bible, the same as we have today. Americans have no issue with those who come legally. Which she well knows.

May God grant us the strength and courage to honor the dignity of every human being, to speak the truth to one another in love and walk humbly with each other and our God for the good of all people. Good of all people in this nation and the world. Amen”
I'm betting she has no issue with abortion. It wasn't the time or the place to try to push her agenda. She was trying to make Trump look bad and she lied to do it. It's pretty simple.[/QUOTE]

No one has a legal obligation to repent of anything. We're not a theocracy.

Repentance for what? Ice arrested and detained US citizens without a warrant or due process. One of whom is also a veteran without a warrant and they holding him without due process because they don't believe his papers are genuine.

Why do the US citizens need to repent for something they didn't do?

“One of the detainees is a U.S. military veteran who suffered the indignity of having the legitimacy of his military documentation questioned,"

ICE is conducting raids without warrants and detaining US citizens without due process. Her fears are being realized. It's undeniable at this point. It's clear that they don't want to go after just illegals who broke the law they want to go after everyone. They're fighting this all the way to the supreme Court to have them reinterpret the Fourth amendment so they can conduct warrantless searches and detain Americans without due process.

We tried to tell you that this was all in project 2025. It's all happening as we speak and you can deny it until the cows come home but that's not going to make it go away.

Biblically God has created a man and a woman.

Un-Biblically, a small fringe segment of the population cannot push their views onto the rest of the population without expecting pushback from the majority as expressed in the trifecta landslide win.

So it's a lose-lose situation for anyone pushing extreme views.

How dare she ask for a demographic of people to be treated like human beings. Also Trump just repealed a civil Rights act that went all the way back to 1965 so it won't now be legal to fire people for being gay or for landlords to evict them for being gay

She's an activist, not a preacher and she made an a$$ of herself trying to make news. That's the only reason she did it. If there's a camera, she's in front of it shooting her mouth off.

This statement is moronic. No one is being mistreated. You're being told you can't cut up a child and change their sex. Get a grip.

No he didn't, you were already corrected on that.

Yeah, like the J6 cases were going to be handled on a case-by-case basis. And Like J. D. Vance said, no violent criminals were going to be pardoned or released. Watch what they do, not what they say.

Jesus ate with tax collectors and prostitutes and showed them Mercy.

You don't have to agree with your neighbors lifestyle to treat them as you would yourself. And to ask for Mercy for them.

Regardless of her belief or faith how is doing the same thing that Christ did an insult to the president?

Those were people who repented.
And if you don't like to hear any Bible-related language such as 'repent' then let's go back to "Don't ask don't tell" policy.
Keep your lifestyle to yourself and everything will be good.

Since we're passed that point now, enjoy the dismantling of the woke virus across American culture.
You reap what you sow.

So we are in a theocracy now? Why do people need to repent to the state for something they do not believe is wrong?

People aren't allowed to express themselves and their ideas and their thoughts? So this is an ideological war? Have you read 1984?

Yeah all those gay people knocking on my door trying to convert me to gayness. Oh wait that's religious people doing that

They don't.

But we are allowed to call them out for trampling on the Blood of Christ by claiming to be Christian while not condemning the sin they engage in.

Also for not asking for mercy for the American citizens that have been raped, murdered, and assaulted by ILLEGAL aliens.
