I Corinthians 14:
13 Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret.
14 For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.
15 What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.

Kind of looks like Paul could pray in an unknown tongue at will. It also looks like a spiritual gift (Interpretation of Tongues) could be received through prayer.

I don't know if Satan is capable of performing the same signs and miracles God can, but it doesn't matter really. There's one thing I am sure of: Satan is capable of deceiving people. I believe most of the "signs and wonders" seen today are not from God, but Satan convinces people they are. That's why two people can witness the same event and one will say a miracle has happened when it clearly hasn't; something that's obvious to the other person.

I have been a part of casting out demonic entities and each time as I was praying and rebuking Satan in the name of Yeshua there came a moment when I felt like a war was breaking out within my spirit and suddenly speaking in tongues erupted. Now three distinctive outcomes occurred that I shall never forget.

1. The demonic entity didn't say speaking in tongues is not for today
2. The demonic entity actually screamed for the speaking in tongues to stop
3. The demonic entity left

How is it possible that Satan is effected by speaking in tongues (prayer war language and why unbelievers are effected by it) when speaking in tongues have supposedly ceased?

For one, Paul wrote, it ceases when we finally see Yeshua/God face to face. And sense the Second Coming hasn't happened it's still so valid even the demons hate it.

Paul was just the vessel wherein the Spirit resided. As such, Paul's hands were the instrument the Holy Spirit used to "touch" and heal individuals. The same is true in regards to the man who believed he could be healed; the Holy Spirit revealed this to Paul through the gift of knowledge. (1 Cor. 12:4-7) Authentic spiritual gift manifestions are only possible by those in whom the Holy Spirit dwells.

Or it could be the whole thing was conjured up in your imagination and the imagination of the one who supposedly had the demon. Not saying for sure it was, just that that possibility has to be considered.

If you are truly saved and come in contact with the demon possessed they and you will know it immediately.

If you don't, then you probably are not saved.

If you can be in an environment where false teachings, practices, and the demon possessed are congregated and they don't react to you or you to them it's 100000000000000000000000% positive that you are not saved and filled with the Holy Spirit of God.

Oh I know, that's what it always comes down to--if you can't accept what I'm saying you're not saved. Not a very convincing argument.

Accept what?

I took the liberty to go through several posts of many members in this thread and researched enough to discover several thrive in specific threads such as this one. Then I looked at several threads they participated in specifically paying attention to their posts within these other topics. I discovered something very specific and common about many of those members.

1. They never seem to experience anything or movement of God
2. They never present God doing the miraculous within their own lives
3. They constantly tear down
4. They persistently question those who testify of God working in their lives
5. They never speak about witnessing and bringing sinners to God

The list is long here but for the sake of time I will get to the gist of the point. I mention not being saved because after researching I absolutely DO NOT BELIEVE many are. They have a posting history that testifies about themselves. And that posting history DOES NOT LIE. In fact, it screams louder than words. And I believe in the posting history more than the response to my immediate posts.

This is the kind of story that gives me great pause. Drama and "war?" And, satan being a created being who can only be in ONE place at a time.......... I doubt any of us has run into satan personally.

If this stuff is actually happening.....We could cast out demons while sitting on the toilet clipping our finger nails. There is no drama. there is no "war." Christ had to "grind it out with demons?" Nope. simply say......Git.

My point is no demon ever said that tongues has ceased or fake not of God.

If they leave immediately?........How do you have conversations with demons?

If a demon tried to convince me tongues have not ceased. I would believe him. Further convincing me that BIBLICAL tongues HAVE ceased.
