I don't follow here. So because he says you're not understanding reformed theology, due to the fact its been misrepresented, this means he doesn't have a pure heart or sincere faith? This doesn't follow or make sense at all. Why does him pointing out a misunderstanding = his ultimate goal as a Christian? Did I miss him making this claim? From my perspective that was directed strait at a blatant problem, I am not seeing how this is translated into "the ultimate goal of being a Christian" in your mind. What'd I miss?
I ind it interesting that it is denied that God is a personal God. But then some repeatedly say He is unfair, and we have also been told that for God to act unilaterally makes Him an unjust tyrant kidnapping people against their will. What becomes apparent after a while is that there is hardly any line they will not cross to falsely accuse others and blaspheme God rather than admit any error on their part.

A biblical definition of the word ‘testify’ s in the immediate context following the phrase “bearing witness” v.27, thus we have the witness. The witness is to tell the truth about what he has seen firsthand. The role of the Holy Spirit is to attest to the truth and his disciples at the same time will be empowered once the Spirit of truth comes upon them as in Acts 1:8. The Spirit who is called Comforter will not only “ come alongside” and solace in the times of adversity, trials or persecutions as they were hated but also to ‘come along’ with them empowering the disciples to testify the truth of the gospel. So when the empowered disciples begin to witness, the Holy Spirit comes alongside them testifying the truth to the hearers while the gospel truth or the scripture of truth is being preached.
Technically, the Holy Spirit will not testify to believers but will empower them. You argue that the Holy Spirit of promise will testify to the disciples so that the disciple is to testify, which is not. Jesus said they would testify because they already had been with Jesus at the beginning of his earthly ministry. John boldly spoke in this manner and Luke did as well. Here’s what they said:

It would seem that the fact God awakens us so we realize that we need Him and then allows us to put our faith into action to believe in Him is what makes Him so personal to begin with.

Because FWT contradicts scripture! Don't FWs believe that Rom 8:29 is teaching that what God foreknew in eternity by passively gazing into his cosmic crystal ball was man's act of faith and repentance and after he sees that THEN he subsequently chooses to save him. Therefore, God's will to save is contingent on man's will to want to be saved.
