Act 28:23

Act 28:27
For the heart of this people is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

Act 28:31
Preaching the kingdom of God, and teaching those things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ, with all confidence, no man forbidding him.
Paul sought to persuade everyone who came to him concerning Jesus. Some believed, and some believed not. Those who did not believe were those whose hearts had waxed gross, whose ears were dull of hearing, and whose eyes they had willfully closed. Had it not been for their willful rejection of God and his word, they could have seen with their eyes, heard with their ears, understood with their hearts, and been converted. Unfortunately, those who did not believe were following in the wrong footsteps of their forefathers. As Stephen rightly said:
Act 7:51
Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers
did, so
do ye.
So much for "irresistible grace."
Several of you here are preaching a false gospel, and you need to repent. You don't want to? Then be ready to answer for your gross misrepresentation of the gospel before Christ himself one day.
