In God's case, this statement is absolutely true in any case.
Before I call it a day, where are all the smartest people in this room? Not a peep from anyone on my 7445 which dealt with Prov 11:1, 20 which teach that God detests both sin and the sinner, respectively. Have you FWers, especially, swallowed your tongue whole, or have your hands become crippled with painful writers' cramps, or have you become blind so that you cannot see your screens?

Well according to some here, we are not to believe what any one verse says and especially all the more so not
when they align/agree perfectly with others verses because as they said, the Bible does not mean what it says.

The flesh does not prohibit man from the ability to believe in the life giving Good News of scripture, God's own call and appeal to all people.
Despite what Calvinists teach ......the Bible does not deny that faith is something humans can do.
Faith, from a biblical perspective, falls within the range of every human's capability: we all believe in something, and we all choose what to believe in.
John 10:37-30,
Jesus asks people who do not want to believe his words to believe in his works so they can believe in him!

Isaiah 65:1 “I revealed Myself to those who did not ask for Me; I was found by those who did not seek Me." God foreknew, chose, predestined, and saved us.
So...,you agree that it took a "genius" like myself to reveal the truth in God's Word that God detests both sin and the sinner alike. Congratulations. You're making progress.
P.S. By the way, the real "legend" around here is CV5 who once boasted how theologically studied up he is. So...if you're into legends, he's the guy who thinks he's the smartest person in room. A wise guy like you and an "Einstein" like he thinks he is, should get a long famously well.

I have purposed in my life and walk in God to use the language that God Himself inspired others including Himself to use.
I have discovered that whenever we take what we read and title it or apply our own meaning through reasoning that we are diminishing the inspiration. God never describes Himself as persons, a Trinity, and we know that original sources prove that 1 John never applied 3 in Heaven as Father, Son, Holy Spirit but as Water, Blood, and Spirit. Much like baptize in the singular Name of God ( Father, Son, Holy Spirit) because we see how the Apostles baptized both Jew and Gentile (Cornelius) in the singular Name of the Lord.
Now saying that I am a 3 in 1 believer but like the Bible explains it.
Maybe we should inject this into the discussion.
When God,The Word made flesh,Jesus, was preaching He wasn't speaking on Latin. Or Greek,which was the language of the first written Gospels.
Jesus was teaching in Hebrew or Aramaic. And to a largely illiterate audience of simple working people.
Please don't be persuaded to think you the reader needs now to know Greek,Latin,Hebrew or Aramaic,to understand the Scriptures as written.
The Holy Spirit leads you to understanding. The Word is our great teacher.
Study to show thyself approved yet don't be intimidated by foreign languages you do not know.

Any responsible Christian adult would not instruct a little boy or girl to learn to believe in God by excising parts of God's word they don't agree with.
1Corinthians 2 exists. Whether some readers approve or not.

Yes, every little boy and girl should pray to God to be delivered from the evil one because they cannot do it by themselves.
It does indeed.
14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
Out of context everything is possible, sadly, that poor boy by suffers each day because the absolute worst hermeneutics.
