Hi there, my name is Sigríður or Sigrid for short. I'm a relatively new believer (grew up in a "Christian"/Lutheran family but only nominally, no one actually practiced it, and only recently due to a personal encounter i had - long story - decided to give my life to Jesus). I know the basics but have a lot to learn and also would like to make friends from all around the world. Hope everyone's having a great day! 😊 God bless...

Hello Sigríður (@SigridT), welcome to CChat! I'm glad that you found us and joined in the discussions with us :)(y)(y)

Blessings to you in Christ!!

p.s. - I'd love to hear the "long story" of you finally coming to saving faith sometime. It seems like we may have similar stories as I was baptized as an infant and then raised in the church (so to speak), always believing that I was a Christian ... until the day that I finally became one, that is, two months after my 30th birthday. That's when EVERYTHING changed, PTL :giggle:

1 Thessalonians 5
23 May the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body
be preserved complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
24 Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass.

Greetings!

I’m from an Oriental Orthodox background myself. I studied in Catholic schools upto grade 10. Iceland’s a very interesting place. I love reading about ancient Norse people. It’s a very interesting topic. Hope you have a great time here.

I just finished Vikings Valhalla. Quite a departure from the K dramas I've been watching!:giggle:
