Romans 9Good I'm glad you read Scripture, then I won't have to post where you find these.
But God shows his love for us in that while we were STILL SINNERS , Christ died for us.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
Christ Jesus came into the world to save SINNERS
He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world.
Who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.
For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life.
The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.
Now the tax collectors and sinners were all drawing near to hear him. And the Pharisees and the scribes grumbled, saying, “This man receives sinners and eats with them.” So he told them this parable: “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. ...
"Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts...
For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost. (sinners)
Ok, here are just a handful of verses that disprove that God created a people to be damned. Kindly go verse by verse and show me where I am in error, I await your answer.
Then why aren't all men saved?all men is the freely given gift of salvation so
yes and I also put myself in the historical stance of the audience being spoken to and the topic at hand was written in greek so I research what the phrases and words mean and are in greek the same if I am looking at the hebrew side as well.
But yes everyone is given the opportunity to come to salvation as the scriptures say we can debate over what the words mean but if you don't overcomplicate things the message becomes clear.
You think Jesus's sacrifice wasn't good enough? That salvation is granted only to those who were predestined? I can tell you are very intellectual you would likely swamp me in knowledge and logic but that won't help in this case as we cannot lean on our own understanding we must be guided by the spirit and the spirit alone.
This is why I see differently not because I believe a certain thing but because I am like a child and don't overcomplicate things or try to find meaning where there is not we both think we are lead by the spirit but we oppose each other in our stance and I respect you as one who is clearly intellectual at least you are willing to discuss your point with me.
because they reject the gift of salvationThen why aren't all men saved?
You posted several in 6986 for which I don't have time to do all. But...I will answer and exegete any three passages of your choice that you quoted. In other words, take your best three shots.
P.S. You do realize that even if I go through this little exercise, you still won't believe, right?
You win.......Or God wins!Very well, I give you the same challenge. It's very easy to reject the verses out of hand. Please go one by one and explain where I am in error. If you cannot, then you're wrong.
You win.......Or God wins!
I pray that the deception going on is VISIBLE to all who are following.
I am sure it is but I also think at the very least @Rufus is willing to explain his stance while I couldn't get @brightfame52 to do the sameYou win.......Or God wins!
I pray that the deception going on is VISIBLE to all who are following.
I am glad you decided toI hope so too. I don't come here often, we have a few that hang around the gates and bark. But I feel when I see error this bad, I need to say something.
Romans 9
In reality, Calvinism is man centered. Man is so evil and corrupt, he wins the wrestling match with God every time. God can't overcome mans true power. No, FWT is a man-made and MAN-CENTERED, MAN-EXALTING, MAN-GLORIFYING, WORLD-LOVING religion.
I am glad you decided to
You are in error because your premis is that those verses prove God does not create people for destruction. No, I asked you to show in the verses I posted where I was in error. You said those verses were in error, so kindly explain why each is in error. Then I will answer your questions. I believe that is fair.
You are in error because your premis is that those verses prove God does not create people for destruction.
They cannot...
Those names were written before the foundation of the world.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMEN!!! A heart for the Lost. And a heart that KNOWS His true Gospel......warms my heart!Oh trust me, I have been here before through the years. You know what bothers me brother Blain? I spent over 20yrs in evangelistic ministry with the very purpose to spread the Gospel that Jesus Saves to the lost. And I can tell you it was a wonderful thing to see people come to the Lord and be saved. To get free of their chains and addictions, sin that bound them. And the people in the congregation would gather round them and welcome them into the family of God. I saw it time and time again. And as weary in body and mind sometimes that I was, it always made my heart burst with joy to see one lost sinner come home. And I come here and these regulars are trying to tell me that I am in error. That these people cannot be saved, that God doesn't even love them enough to save them and created them for destruction!!! And they say I am the one who is arrogant? Who is unloving?? Stunning!! JESUS SAVES!!! I will NEVER stop telling it, not to the end of my days! God loves the sinner, He grieves over the lost and wants ALL to be saved. His Word says it, I believe it, that settles it!! Glory to God!
ps Sorry for the sermon, but I was feelin' that. That'll preach!
I am so glad you got to do all that you are a true blessing in my eyes, I myself have no greater joy than when I hear that God used me to bring people closer to God to see that spark ihnite in their hearts and to see how his spirit just overflows in their words.Oh trust me, I have been here before through the years. They can and they do. So I am not in error. That means either God lies or you're misunderstanding Scripture. Because I am not using my own words but the Word.
No, that's not what is said. Now you're adding to Scripture. Now, kindly go through the verses and show my error. Again, I will wait. I have some time on my hands this evening.
I am so glad you got to do all that you are a true blessing in my eyes, I myself have no greater joy than when I hear that God used me to bring people closer to God to see that spark ihnite in their hearts and to see how his spirit just overflows in their words.
I don't think I have done very much in that regard or at least I haven't seen the results but I love my work here in cc to me this site is a planting field and you know that zeal you just had was fantastic that is what I like to see
