Joh 20:27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.
Joh 20:28 And Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord and my God.
Joh 20:29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.

Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

God wants us to have true love so it is based on faith which is the evidence of things not seen.

Rev10:7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.

In the future people will know that did not believe by physical evidence when salvation is no longer available to the world for then faith is void to be saved which they only believed because they have seen.

1Co 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
1Co 2:10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
1Co 2:11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
1Co 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

We have a choice because God wants true love so we do not get physical evidence but faith is the evidence of things not seen.

Agree, saving faith as a "gift" to a select few, is an irrational position which creates an irrational God along with denying God is love.

God chooses righteously to who God will have mercy on and who God will not have mercy on
I see this to ask for the reconciliation (forgiveness) provided by God through Son for us all to be given new life in Spirit and Truth of God for us to us all to simply love as God does in 1 Cor 13:4-7 to me at least thanks
I seek the fruit from the tree of Love, God's love to all, thanks

How exactly does he choose righteously to whom He will gift saving faith?

I'm assuming this is meant to say that there is a rationale behind God's choices, that His choices do not stem from any sort of random selection.

How???????????????????????????????? Wow, if I need to know how, then I do not trust God, the Father of the risen Son would I? Not saying you do not, just saying the curiosity stops one from getting established in Faith to God as God is the only one good, for me at least
I have read controversies in the Bible, and chose to stand in beleif to God no matter what. If God need me to know, then God will reveal whatever is needed for me to know, that I stand in trust to God.
I believe God in Col 1:1-23
especially verses 21-23
As an example, when I go through anything, bad or good, I might not like it, not understand it, yet I see to turn to God to trust God it will somehow, someway work out for the good of God for us all, never knowing how, yet have seen it over and over and over again and have been killed in past troubles, yet would not deny God all in all. I deserve death, thank you, I am not Qualified ever, God is and I trust God no matter what, thanks

Thank you the new heart given us thank you Ezekiel 36:26
Some insist that the heart of the natural man, though made of stone, hostile
to God, and captive to the will of the devil, needs no help to believe.

I can't imagine that anyone comes to the LORD without thinking, although that seems to be the claim.

faith

“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Gods word is spoken to a man

“And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt.

( a man believes his word spoken and acts upon it and faith results )

And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days:”
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭10:21-22‬ ‭

the only variable is woild Moses believe his word and act upon it and see the result of faith ?

Gods word is certain like this

“And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

when he speaks to a man it’s the same what he says is certain so if we believe him and act upon it the result is certain . Like this

“And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭2:16-17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

When adam eats the forbidden fruit and breaks this commandment , his death is certain because God forespoke it in the commandment itself “ thou shalt not , you will surely die “ and his word is infallibly true no matter what he has said

But it’s the same here if we hear and believe his word and act like it , what he says will happen will happen

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;

but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

That’s the same as when he told Moses “ lift up your hands and there will be darkness “ the word is before us but what will we do with it ? Faith is in the word whatever God has said to someone that’s the condition and truth of it all

somwtimes we say I believe but we hear it and don’t believe it forninsrance we hear this

“He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;

instead of believing and acting upon it , we begin to explain why baptism isn’t needed for salvstion and how the gospel isn’t the same as then ect

thisnis showing we don’t believe what he said he said there how to be saved but then we don’t quite believe him so we explain that’s not the right path or belief “ listen instead to me tell you how to be saved “

Colossians 1:21-22 Once you were alienated from God and were hostile in your minds because of your evil deeds. But now He has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy, unblemished, and blameless in His presence.

it is truth, if one, anyone will continue in truth

Authorized (King James) Version
Col 1:21-23
And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: if ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, and which was preached to every creature which is under heaven; whereof I Paul am made a minister;

Amazing: it is done finished for us to be new in love and mercy to all God's Love, amazing, now by God I see this truth beyond measure to my first birth, that I knew and yet got lost in it, of this world. Went out after it to do it, only to find "I" can't and only need God to lead through me, not that I got it together, I now see as Paul said in Phil 3, "I" put past behind me, not repenting of it over and over again that never got me to see to quit it, it kept me in it, under Law that is, instead of holding up Law as David spoke of in Psalm 1

I can't imagine that anyone comes to the LORD without thinking, although that seems to be the claim.
God calls we hear, then ignore or listen and then believe as called to believe, yet freely, it is our free choice to choose.
If one, anyone does not believe God, then one does or will not get established in God
Isaiah 7:9 tells me this, read it from verse 1 to be in context, then understand whatever God says is true, it is true. Whoever doubts, even a modicum, kicks themselves out. It takes belief to eventually see, that does not quit.
Read Job, first Chapter, see your own name in. place of Job and read it through to the last Chapter and hear Father speak to you from within you. God simply loves you and everyone else too, otherwise that cross would not have ever taken place. God would have just killed them all, yet God did not do that why???????????????
People say God show me, I then will believe you, desiring a vending machine, God is not a vendor
God replies, "Believe me, and "I" God will show you.
What??????????????? yeah I see in Job and deeper in Jesus to not deny God that is all Folks, one day you will see if you are willing to go through the snow, sleet and mud too
Noting this: I have seen fire rain and hurricanes, I have never seen the sky ever get harmed in any of the troubles here that have happened on earth, has anyone else?
Love to all as in 1 Cor 13:4-7

It is the object of one's faith (Jesus) who saves and yet that faith is not the gift, salvation is the gift.

When you wrongly make "faith" the gift then the question becomes how does God decide who wins the salvation lottery?

The question is created by men, by faulty reading of the scripture who then have to resort to "it is a mystery" "who am I judge" I guess this okay from the security of the "faith gifted few" who can actually boast of being selected to win the salvation lottery.

Saving faith is not the gift, salvation is the gift and an honest examination of the Greek in Ephesians 2:8 bears this out.

He knew from before the beginning who would have a believing heart. To those he speaks, and they hear and follow him as he brings them to Christ
Calvinists believe and many on her that God gives the believing heart and that people are born incapable of believing.
Agree God knows the end from the beginning.

Their argument is, which is not established in scripture, aside from slicing and dicing verses into some nonsensical patchwork that people are born morally incapable of responding to the truth and power inherent in the Gospel message.

God has purposely blocked the truth from penetrating the soul of the person from birth mind you so He can magnify Himself.

Do you agree with this?

John 12:38b-40 “Lord, who has believed our message? And to whom has the arm of the Lord
been revealed?” For this reason they were unable to believe. For again, Isaiah says: “He has blinded their eyes and hardened their hearts, so that they cannot see with their eyes, and understand with their hearts, and turn, and I would heal them.”
