The Bible is silent on whether Adam repented or not.
Oh good grief. Where did this idea that Adam was some kind of neanderthal retard come from? He was the image of God.
The Bible is silent on whether Adam repented or not.
That's certainly one take.As it is also silent on whether he had saving faith. But it's not silent on Adam being a type of Christ by contrasts, is it?
And while I have you here, here is another interesting little "factoid" about Adam being driven out of the Garden. He wasn't the only enemy of God who was driven out from the presence of God. Adam's firstborn son Cain was also driven out of the land of Eden by God (Gen 4:10-13). Talk about "like father, like son".
When you quit projecting, the "irony" will magically disappear.![]()
What enemies? When God created the stage in the beginning. When prior to that the heavens and this earth did not yet exist.
I believe Adam did repent. It doesn't change the fact that the Bible doesn't say.I think the Bible focuses on Adam's son because it was by that one man din e tered the world.
However,God removed Adam and Eve from the garden before they could eat of the tree of life andi e forever in that sin. And though it doesn't say so in the words, Adam repented, we know he did and was forgiven because Adam and Eve had a long life and bore children by God's grace.
Why do you place Cain in Eden in the first place? Identifying Nod as east of Eden does not mean Cain was
ever there. Adam and Eve were driven out of the garden of Eden before any of their children were born.

Nice...the Charlie Brown line of thought. While I believe Adam was redeemed, can you share from scripture where this is plainly and unequivocally stated?Oh good grief. Where did this idea that Adam was some kind of neanderthal retard come from? He was the image of God.

But after he sinned, he was the DEAD image of God.
The image of God was corrupted in Adam once he sinned. This includes his mind and spirit
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Genesis 1:26-27
The image of God was corrupted in Adam once he sinned.
The Hebrew means "from the womb."Perhaps you might read Isaiah 44. Paying attention to verse 24. Or, Colossians 1 and particularly verse 16.
I've already shared it with you. It didn't convince you. No problem. I'm never bothered when someone holds a differing view.Which is actually an irrational faith on your part...with all due respect. How can you believe something that isn't revealed in scripture? Where is your evidence?
Are you aware of the fact that after the Fall, there's not one text that teaches that Adam even acknowledged God, let alone repented and believed in him! And this stands in sharp contrast to Eve (Gen 4:1, 25). In fact, these two texts are great examples of the hermeneutical principle I stated earlier that says that every fact must be affirmed by at least two witnesses. Twice Eve acknowledged God and attributed her pregnancies to Him! But you'll be very hard-pressed to find any similar passages with regard to Adam.
And this brings me to a question about Eve: Do you believe that God saved Eve simply because that's what you want to believe or do you believe that God saved Eve based on various lines of biblical evidence (over & above 3:21)?
He hid from God as well. Pretty sure he wasn't playing hide-n-seek.He had shame. That was all
That's nice. Now do the world a favor and keep it under wraps.![]()
