I learned long ago there is no point arguing with them. The lure of being special is too strong. The idea that they are destined to be saved, therefore intrinsically better than those who are destined to be lost, gives them a powerful sense of superiority.

Some people can't bear to hear the truth. Unbelievers naturally despise doctrine of the election. Including false brethren. God chose Abraham and not nahor. God chose Jacob and not Esua. David, and not his brother's.

Isaiah chapter 6. Some people have Spirit of stupor. When man of God plants seeds. Those seeds can germinate if Jesus allows it. If we are spiritually dead, surely that impacts our decision making.
John 6:44. Unless God draws, no one can come to Christ for salvation. Holy Spirit draws Christian to Christ and sincere repentance. But we're not truly free, because we have constraints that shape our decision.

Without all the times we have messed up and found ourselves not deserving of the love of God, it has made us who we are as Christians. My mess ups have made me who I am as a Christian and I don't think I would want to give up my mess ups.
I like the concept of Calvinism, no matter what actions I have taken or will take in the future, my actions have been predetermined by God to have occurred. My best action is to live the life according to my preordained path.

I'm pretty sure you will feel right at home there. There are a few Calvinists there to agree with you, and lots of people who don't agree with Calvinism to argue with. You will have a lot of fun there, I guarantee it.

You would definitely have a good time in the Bible discussion forum. You really should try it out. There's a lot of people there who talk just like you, always accusing each other of being fake Christians. Reprobate is one of their favorite words.
I think you're getting a little static on that holy line though, because I am a Pentecostal minister. Claiming I don't have the holy Spirit is a very poor shot. You may need to tune your spiritual perception a bit.
