Because abortion is murder and in this country murder is against the law for everyone. That's why.
Actually it isnt murder. Better see a new lawyer. Never been a law forcing anyone to have an abortion. But not everyone sees things your way. Something you dont understand and cant tolerate.

I cannot understand after seeing pictures of babies limbs torn to pieces and doctors who had performed abortions testifying before Congress on how the baby reacted to pain and how they realized they was taking a life and stopped performing abortions, how any person, let alone a person with some belief in A God and a moral order can state abortion is not murder?

I really do not get it.

We agree 110% here. I just can't understand how anyone, Christian or not, can agree with abortion. Back in the 70s we thought it was just a blob. But with all we know today, how could anyone support abortion?

I have a 7 month old great nephew. I actually thanked his mother for not aborting him. My husband and I have given every extra bit we had to help my nephew and his wife out. Now they both have work at opposite hours so each of them can care for the baby. So they aren't needing help now. But I have held my little nephew in my arms and just wept at the thought, if they had made a different decision. I believe God will reward them for doing right after making some wrong choices.

Yes He will.
Raised Catholic, we were taught from early grades life is precious and life begins at conception.

I never doubted but I did learn later how to defend this position and really the argument is solid there is absolutely no argument for abortion, at least I have not heard an argument moral or philosophical which can't be refuted so far.

We will see if @Maggiefortruth has one?

No, it is actually murder. But there was a day in age, it wasn't murder to kill a black person, or Jewish person.

This comment makes no point, at all.

But not everyone sees things your way.
Taking an innocent life is murder. Doesn't matter how you see it.

You're right, I don't understand, nor can I tolerate this... The question is, how can you and call yourself human, let alone Christian?!

Between us, I'm sure we've heard them all. Not sure I care to hear what Ms Truth, so called, has to say about it. Seems like a very angry person.

i remember getting up on a cold January morning in 1973. picked up the newspaper and read the how Supremes had voted in the Roe case. I stood at the dining room table and wept.

the benefit, i guess, of having lived before the prominent teaching of a "blob" was you got to have your heart broken.

My mother was a nurse at the time. She said that she and another woman were pregnant in the same room together, and the other woman had an abortion, just a young woman she said. How sad.

No one has ever been forced to have an abortion. Now big government is deciding your medical decisions,

Really? As if you would know. No one knows as to how many of the millions of abortions have been forced.

The governments have no business in getting involved with, promoting, or funding abortions. Had the Supreme Court (years ago) honestly said that abortion is first degree murder (which it, and cannot be condoned by any government, the whole matter would have taken a different turn. Abortion is infanticide and genocide. But no one calls it what it really is. that would be scary.
