At the end when the announcer said they had bad news about the pair, I thought for a second Pacho had attacked his owner. They never said if Pacho's brain had been damaged, just that he was shot in the head. They could have done a CAT scan to see. It's kind of important to know if that's all nurture or not. He could have won America's Got Talent potentially or taken it on the road.

It might have been a combination of things from my experiences. This was an American crocodile which has a typical temperament that's different from the African species you usually see on nature shows. They can be extremely dangerous of course, just not as aggressive.
I raised alligators and learned that they are intelligent. We formed a bond and so did many others, especially my Dad seeing George as a pet. My shows never put others at risk though. I treated them as having the potential for unpredictability and no safety rules broken around the public, so no mishaps.
I did take my shows on the road. It was hard work, but loved it!

I still think it's too bad they never CAT scanned Pacho's brain. If they found no damage, we could say for certain one could tame an american crocodile; and says something of their social intelligence.

That would have been interesting.
That sounds like a good idea. He was a celebrity and a vet would have been happy to volunteer for publicity.
They x-rayed an American alligator at a rehab in Florida. It had been shot and the vet was planning on removing the bullets to keep it from further lead poisoning.
I have video and pics but they are packed away in storage with a lot of stuff from my former business and move. Right now I would be happy to just get enough sleep and nourishment to heal.

Mom bought me one of these that was a mix with a German Shepherd.
It was crazy smart. It'd would probably score high on the SAT and get accepted to most universities. It would definitely vote republican if registered by a democrat election clerk. He was smarter than any democrat you'd meet.
