I appreciate your response in why you want to vote for Kamala. I won't flame you for disagreeing as you have been quite nice and civil in talking with me. This is sort of a loss art sadly. I will, however, explain why I disagree (respectfully).
I actually don't vote primarily based on my feelings. I strive to go the pragmatic approach as to how the country can move closer towards my personal ideals. I'm just one person, my vote doesn't matter much, but I want to use it in support of someone who champions nonetheless.
If I am voting off feelings, I would probably just vote for Bernie Sanders even though I disagree with him quite a bit on policies. To me, he seems to speak genuinely... I believe he cares for the people though I disagree with his ideology on how it's best TO serve them. He started championing progressive ideals before they were even popular... The left would use his views to try to alienate him away from the party. The elites in the party colluded in 2020 to take the Democrat primary away from him because he was running away with the nomination... So they had everyone drop out of the race and endorse Biden. He didn't protest or complain, he just took it and turned the other cheek. I actually felt terrible for him... especially since I thought he was a better Democratic candidate than Biden and Clinton (2016).
Unfortunately, I disagree with Kamala on almost every major issue ranging from abortion to continuing to give arms and money to Israel and Ukraine. I actually liked Trump before 2016. I've seen every episode of the Apprentice, I think he is hilarious at his rallies, and I even laugh out loud when he is so hyperbolic he is simply not telling the truth. In short, he makes me feel way better than Kamala does... but that isn't and shouldn't be the reason I vote for him. I should only vote for him if I believe he can contribute to making the world closer to my ideals. It just so happens my ideals align with my Christian beliefs.
