I listened to the podcast from yesterday. I'll listen to this latest on Fox too. Dan Bongino is a former SS officer if I remember correctly. He pointed out flaws and failures. He knows far more about the SS than I hope to ever learn.
However, IMHO he didn't go far enough. He doesn't want to point fingers when the information is limited and no admission of guilt has occurred. I doubt we will be given details like Ethan Hunt on the Kennedy assassination.
Maybe it was incompetence that the SS ignored the guys who pointed out that sniper as he got into position. Maybe they have less training and competence than 12 yo boy scouts. I don't know. I'm playing armchair quarterback.
However, I've studied security in regards to other types of scenarios.
It seems like every time there's a disaster or major gt "failure" it's always been the go to strategy to claim incompetence. It doesn't matter if it's 9//, 2001, the Maui town going up in flames or the war on drugs. Mistakes are the claim of the day and they ALWAYS need more personal and lots more money. Money makes everything better. The F

got double the funding when they failed the 9// investigation. The Pentagram "lost" trillions of dollars the day before. It was just a lot of mistakes .
It doesn't matter that the red haired guy and his buddies got the SS attention and pointed and shouted for minutes. Those SS guys were not trained enough. They were not paid enough or were understaffed. Heck, if there were just more security guys, they might have paid attention and actually prevented 5-10 shots (depending on the reports) from going in that direction.
There are plenty of good defenders around. It just seems more than suspicious to me when Mr B says to put a bullseye on Mr T and there's a scenario that doesn't look like it could be anything else only days later. There are lots of bad guys in high places.
Just saying.
The RNC is only getting $75 million dollars for security and such. Hope that's enough money. The head of security just said earlier, "We got this."
That should take care of that.
I've been shot at, called the police and over an hour and a half later those brave men rushed to the scene to save the day. Unfortunately the bad guys who were shooting at unarmed people an hour earlier got away.
Like so many things, the only person who deserves thanks for protection is the Lord of hosts, my friend.
