Hey Everyone,

As mentioned in the Aquarium Thread, here in Singles, we often like to hand out bribes, er... I mean, "motivation," for witty, thoughtful, and encouraging posts -- usually in the form of digital baked goods.

And if we all get a good running joke in on @Lynx, that just might warrant a multi-layer cake:

1720202255678.jpeg

But what about everyone else?

1. * What are your favorite kinds of desserts? Cakes, cookies, pies, custards, tarts, ice cream -- or all of the above? What are your favorite flavors? Are fruits and chocolate only good for some kinds of desserts, but not others?

1720203596090.jpeg

2. * What are your favorite stores for picking up the best treats, or who are your favorite people that make them? Does Sister Sally have a homemade pie you hone in on at every church gathering? Does your Grandma make a special dessert for family celebrations? Tell us about the things you look forward to most!

3. * What are your favorite desserts for different seasons? Ice cream or sorbet in the summer, apple pie in the fall, toasty bread pudding in the winter? Are there certain desserts you have to have, or it just doesn't seem like that specific time of year? (For some reason, I always have to have a few jelly beans in the spring.)

And, let's not forget the most important question of all:

4. * If you have a milkshake with your food, does that alone count as dessert, or just a beverage? (If it's just a beverage, do you get to order another dessert after your meal?!)

Everyone is welcome to share their favorites and stories as we ponder only the sweetest questions here in Singles! :)

I like cookies (chocolate chip, m&m, butterscotch, peanut butter).

Strawberry cakes, chocolate cakes, and red velvet.

Blue Bell homemade vanilla with chocolate shell.

When either of my daughters are in the kitchen making desserts, it's going to be a good day!

Red velvet just seems to fit better between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

If I get a milkshake, I count it as a dessert.

Pie beats everything except cheesecake. Pie is basically baked pudding in a shell.

I'm not real big on pie myself... Except for chocolate. And lemon. And chess pie. And pecan is good. Blueberry is also good. Blackberry... Peach... Sweet potato... Pumpkin... A few others are really good too... But aside from that I'm not much of a pie guy.

My favorite pie is actually...

Real pie does not have pudding in it (LOL)!!! Real pie has fruit in it...

Depends on your definition. My pudding does not come out of a can or a powder packet.

Peach pie is basically sliced peaches in a delicious homemade pudding, in a shell.

The Bible Discussion Forum isn't the only place that stirs up a lot of controversy!!

C'mon Singles, let's show 'em how it's (good-naturedly) done! :D

(And for the record, I agree with Magenta -- if I'm going to have pudding/custard, I'd rather have it in a bowl -- not a pie shell!)

Fruit filling FTW!!! :D

(Though I confess I'm not much of a pie person because I tend to eat mostly just the filling and not the actual "pie" part...)

I agreed with pretty much every part of your post except for this.

A milkshake is just a beverage.

Unless, of course it comes with a slice of cake.

Turn if you will, please, to Galatians 5:22-23. Now, does it say, the pudding of the Spirit??? No!!! No, it does not. Case closed .:D

Cowabunga!! (And 2 pant sizes later...)

I was just kidding -- sort of -- when I said we could show the BDF how it's done!!

Yet somehow, @Magenta has somehow just successfully -- and very, very cleverly -- combined Scripture, controversy (pudding vs. fruit fillings!), and a thread about Just Desserts in Singles all in one!!!:ROFL::ROFL:

Magenta, I don't know what your favorite fruit pie filling is, but I'm thinking, for this post, you definitely deserve all. the pies. :p

Please come and claim your prize(s)!! :D

No sharing required -- you have DEFINITELY earned this!

(I'm STILL laughing!)

Is that the sorry end of Dave’s presidential campaign?😥😄😂
Unfortunately, we already have one trouble-making cat here on the forum (cough, @Lynx ) who likes to antagonize Winston (and it's completely unprovoked, I assure you.)

Winston isn't 100% convinced that being Dave's running mate would be any easier -- he can't fight a war on two fronts with two different cats -- but if Dave offers good pay and benefits (preferably edible,) Winston is open to choosing a side.

Unfortunately Dave has already taken a plea deal and is now serving a sentence of no fresh fish for the entire week.

With the things you've told us about Dave's attitude and antics, I'm surprise he was even offered a plea deal.

I would have thought he would have received a sentence of Life Without Paw-role.
