7Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. Was spoken by Jesus to Nicodemus before the crucifixion.
Jesus spoke of many things that became a reality after He ascended back into Heaven. Jesus prophesied about the NT rebirth that would soon become possible for NT believers, "Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that
repentance and remission of sins (water baptism) should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem." (Luke 24:47) Details concerning the NT rebirth were
presented in Jerusalem on the Day of Pentecost. (Acts 2:36-42)
Man is without excuse, as the recorded experiences of the birth of the NT church in Acts, and Paul's epistles provide the pattern all must follow. (Acts 2:38-41, 8:12-18, 9:17-18, 10:43-48, 19:1-6, 22:16, Rom 6:3-5, 1 Cor 1:15-16, 1 Cor 12:13, Gal 3:27, Eph 4:4-5, Col 2:12, Titus 3:5-6, Heb 4:1-2)
Over 20+ years after Peter gave the initial message of the need to be baptized, Paul gave the same instruction. (Acts 19:1-6. Paul’s 3rd missionary campaign)
