I don't know why it is so hard for service men to just do an honest job right. May the Lord provide relief right away.
Any big box store like Lowe's or Menards should stock water pumps or sump pumps with the motor above water and a basic switch that kicks it off automatically when the level drops. The accordion type flexible corrugated drain hoses are cheap. With the right diameter of the pump outlet, you'll need a hose clamp too.
I'm not sure, but perhaps coat hanger wires,cord or aluminum tie wire for garden fence could be fastened to the 4 sides to keep it upright and centered. It might need a different container though. Perhaps a sturdy sealed plastic trash can.

I bought a larger length that was maybe twice the price at Lowes for a back up , just in case. You'll want to check anywhere plumbing supplies are sold.
