As you can see these verses clearly say that you can lose your salvation
It's a different mechanism, however.
ASSUMING THAT salvation HAS OCCURRED - i.e. the person HAS BEEN BORN AGAIN of the Holy SPirit, and is growing in spiritual knowledge, but for whatever reason, starts to neglect the spirituals - i.e. gets busy with other things, and doesn't bother with God's leadings, doesn't bother with church, or Christian Fellowship, and gets busy with other things, not necessarily SINFUL things, but just "Important stuff - work, Travel, career issues, etc.
Then what happens is that the LIVING FAITH degenerates into the fading memory of having had living faith, and, and if the trend continues, you'll have nothing. Since I've been down that road, I do know that God sends "Wake up calls" (sometimes pretty brutal ones) to get your attention before it's too late. The existence of FAITH depends on a living relationship with God, and can grow dim through neglect.
