I did and just about gagged. Maybe it was a bad flan and not a good flan.
There are some bad ones.

There are some homemade ones that are... Very bad. There are some factorymade ones that are meh.

If you find a place with good homemade flan, pray for that business every day that they may continue to operate forever.

Sort of depends on the cookie.... some cookies are just better slightly crispy.

One of my "specialties" is chocolate chip cookies.... it's an old, secret famiy recipe, like Phoebe on "Friends"..... Nestle Toll-House .....
I substitued crisco for butter, which fluffs them up .... I cook them until they just barely start to turn tan on top... 8 minutes, tops.
They are chewy.... and wonderful.... and fattening....

I can eat oatmeal cookies either way, but usually prefer chewy... I normally make them with craisins....

Your post had me lost in an amazing daydream of fantastic cookies all the way until you said craisins. Then it turned into a horrific nightmare of bitter imposters taking over the cookie kingdom. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

One thing I really admire about Review Brah is that he really gets the upper hand on his haters.

He's has some videos showcasing how terrible people on the internet can be. One person told him he looked like a rodent and he said something like, "Why yes, I actually have had a DNA test and it came back part rat."

I've been an avid fan of his channel ever since.

I will gladly support someone who responds to awful people with such snap and grace.

Hornetguy comes in, traumatizes us all with Craisins, then exits left...

(I actually LIKE Craisins, and I have a friend who made an AMAZING cookie with white chocolate chips and Craisins, but... I just don't know of many people who publicly admit their secret weapon ingredient is Craisins!) o_O:cool::ROFL:

A lot of people I know don't seem to like them -- but they don't like raisins either, so... :LOL:

There's a place here for all of God's creatures...... even the really ODD ones that don't like craisins.... :eek: they give just the right amount of tart accent to a really chewy oatmeal cookie... preferred over plain ol' raisins...
They are also wonderful in oatmeal, with some brown sugar and cinnamon... but I digress....

You have to be a badass to eat anything from a bog.

I used to be of the chewy crowd until recently. My daughter gift me a tin of shortbread cookies (ugh) and, since it was from my daughter, I felt I had to at least partake of at least one. And then I ate them all and then took my brother's tin also, before he noticed how good they were. They are sort of the best of both, crispy yet melt in your mouth that there really seems to be no need for chewing. And now, I wonder if this is also true of the sponge ladyfingers, which the English call "biscuits." Supposedly, these are crispy on the outside and spongey on the inside. At any rate, I now have use for my cookie press, also known as my badass "dough gun."

I prefer soft cookies. They crumble less, for one reason. I also prefer the texture.
