So throughout my life many things have set off my anger to a good point..
I was told it might be part of a disability like meltdowns.. What i am wondering does God understand this could be part of my disability and will it send me to hell?

Your eternal future does not depend on you or what you do. If that was God's standard, no one would be saved. You are saved because of what Jesus did. All God requires of us is to receive Jesus and what He has done for us on the cross, His death and His resurrection.

God only saves sinners. The good news is that you qualify. What God does want to do is deliver you from those things that are ungodly, unedifying and contrary to God's ways. Getting angry is not necessarily sin. It's sin when we do not let go of the anger.

"Be angry, and yet do not sin." Let not the sun set upon your anger,... This is a quote from psalm 4:4. Basically, it means don't go to sleep angry. Talk it over with Jesus and get clean first. If you do this regularly, it will prevent the devil getting his claws into you.

You also need to know that the root of anger is usually pride. Most anger arises because we imagine that our rights have been violated. If we will trust Jesus to be our humility, then we will be angry much less often and we will let go of it more easily.

God knew about all of your anger issues the day you became a Christian. He knew about everything you did and He still forgave you. He knew about your angered thoughts and actions and He opened His arms and welcomed you. He still knows that you can get angry and have angered related thoughts and emotions. And He still loves you. You, ME, EVERYONE at this website all have some kind of sin we commit. And still God loves "all of us" in spite of our struggles.

Learn the Lord's Prayer and say it daily because Jesus taught us it to be said daily.

Where it says "Forgive us our "trespass" and we forgive those who "trespass" against us...remember "trespass = SIN"

Say this Prayer every day for the next week and tell me how you are doing with your anger issues.

I am praying for you (y)

While visiting with elders of my church today one of them was sharing what she had been reading in Isaiah 11 about Jesus.

‭Isaiah 11:3-4 NKJV‬
"[3] His delight is in the fear of the Lord, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears; [4] But with righteousness He shall judge the poor, And decide with equity for the meek of the earth..."

To judge with equity means to account for differences in people. God knows even better than you where the lines are of what you are and are not capable of, and He judges you with real love.

I am going to partially disagree with another answerer. Yes, we can become angry with others because we are too prideful to judge with equity ourselves, but do realize that not all anger is bad. God Himself is described as getting angry in the Old Testament. In the New Testament Jesus overturned the table of the money changers. In fact it ‭John 2:17 it says of this, "His disciples remembered that it was written, 'Zeal for Your house will consume me.' " That sounds like anger to me

Similarly, for those who have Holy Spirit, godly anger can burn in our hearts. Anger is something we experience as part of being made in the image of God, but like many other traits, it gets corrupted in the world and has to be refined by walking with God.

Realize that we get angry because we care about something. Anger can be rooted in positive traits like love, and/or the desire for truth, and justice. It tends to go off when we lose our proper perspective on assessing and valuating others (pride, as was noted before), or we fail to trust God, but I would say pride is more a corrupting factor than the source of anger.

Note too that whenever I have experienced intractable anger that I have taken to God, He has shown me a couple different possible sources over the course of my experiences. First, sometimes, usually even, the anger is actually a godly burden to do something about an injustice. Contrast this with an occasion I had where my mind was very angry but my spirit was at peace because the sin against me was so egregious that God Himself was going to deal with the injustice (known via prophetic word). The other possibility is that sometimes Satan can be affecting us in ways that exaggerate our hurt and therefore our consequent emotions. Ask God for guidance on how to deal with such things, but often it is just a matter of rebuking Satan (commanding that any and all dark spirits must leave and not be replaced). At other times it is more complicated but God can guide you if you let Him.

The Bible warns to avoid people who are quick to anger, so you certainly have a problem you need to fix.

Will it send you to hell? That's the wrong question to ask.

I have seen a lot of people who were quick to anger, but I have never seen any who just ignored the problem and it got better on its own. It never even stayed where it was on its own. It always got worse until they actively did something about it.

So yeah, you should probably do something about that.

God fully understands the human condition because Jesus once walked on this earth amongst us.

Jesus died for our sins so just asked for forgiveness, invite the Holy Spirit to live in your heart so as to comfort and guide you in the lifelong repentance process. What good work God starts inside of you He is certainly willing and able to complete.

Even Jesus was angry at the money changers in the temple and drove them out with whips. Fortunately, God is full of compassion and mercy.

Accept Jesus today and put your worries to rest. It is God's will and desire to save you.

As long as you believe Jesus and trust in the Atonement He secured for the forgiveness of your sins then you shall be forgiven.. One important thing Never resist the Word of God by making excuses or trying to justify your faults.. Salvation is easy if you just acknowledge your faults with meekness towards God.. Sadly some people want to feel worthy and start to try and justify their sins and in doing so they remove them from The Atonement of the LORD Jesus..

Can you be angry and sin not?
Anger isn't a salvation issue; it's a heart issue. Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you good desires in your heart...Psalm 37:4.

A word study on hell might help... because unfortunately the KJV translated
several different words into "hell" when they had different meanings.

What will send you to HELL will be your failure to be Born again and becoming a Christian. Your lousy temper is only a symptom of your personal spiritual condition. Repent and call on God in FAITH to save you.

We have all traits that should be addressed, but with God everything is possible. The first step is to be aware the problem, ask God for wisdom and help and try your best to control both emotions and actions. It might take time, but God is patient. Following Christ for is also to be confronted with your flaws, and it can be some painful processes to go through. Work on the issue, repent and ask people around you for forgiveness, and notice every time you anger is bit by bit more under control you can rejoice in that.
