Someone mentioned Ps 119:160 in this thread. And it certainly applies to all situations: "The sum of Your word is truth [the total of the full meaning of all Your individual precepts]; and every one of Your righteous decrees endures forever. " AMP
Romans 10 was addressed to those who were already Christians. Confessing Jesus is a requirement for all born again Christians. Note, Paul also said we are to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. This indicates believing in Jesus involves much more than a mentally acknowledging the fact.

The Bible fills us in. The sum of God's word is truth.
The Apostle Peter full of the Holy Ghost shared the truth about Jesus and told everyone who believed to "...repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls." Acts 2
Acts 8:12-17
But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.
Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.
Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:
Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:
(For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.)
Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.

Who shall tell thee words, whereby thou and all thy house shall be saved.

He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.

In Peter 3:21, Peter tells us that baptism now saves you, yet when Peter uses this phrase he continues in the same sentence to explain exactly what he means by it. He said that baptism now saves you-not the removal of dirt from the flesh (that is, not as an outward, physical act which washes dirt from the body--that is not what saves you), "but an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ" (that is, as an inward, spiritual transaction between God and the individual, a transaction that is symbolized by the outward ceremony of water baptism).
*Just as the eight people in the ark were "saved THROUGH water" as they were IN THE ARK. They were not literally saved "by" the water. Hebrews 11:7 is clear on this point (..built an ARK for the SAVING of his household). *The context reveals that ONLY the righteous (Noah and his family) were DRY and therefore SAFE. In contrast, only the wicked in Noah's day came in contract with the water and they all perished.

The like figure (is water, whether baptismal or flood which IS the putting away of filth of the flesh, in both cases of water but NOT the answer of a good conscience toward God (complete immersion into belief in the integrity of the Name and all that He claims) in that by which IS the baptism (which the other prefigured) which now saves us.
Even if you do not agree, please let me know that you at least understand to concept I've put forth?

God is omniscient. Nothing surprises God. The names in the book of life have been there since the foundation of the world.
"The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is." So you exclude the verses that give specific detail. Interesting. If what you state were true then repentance is not necessary, nor receiving the indwelling presence of the Holy Ghost because they are not mentioned in some scriptures. Even those with limited understanding of the Bible know that is not true.

Study of all scripture relative to any topic is what sheds light on the truth.

The work of God is this: to believe in the one He sent. God commands all people everywhere to repent. We are to repent and believe. Jesus made a distinction between earthly water and spiritual water and so do I. I am not speaking against being baptized. However, unlike you, I do not believe that one is not saved if they do not undergo water baptism. We are saved by grace through faith.

So this isnt proof to you in a bible discussion forum they baptized in water ?

i can’t really say much if you’ve interpreted things like this so far away and can’t accept the basic truth . We’re just eating each others time
