I cherry pick? I already told you what they have found with those questionable texts. Dude, appeals to antiquity doesn't mean they are more correct than all the other thousands of manuscripts that contradict them. Antiquity doesn't always equate to being more correct. Platonic influences are clearly seen in that small number of older manuscripts. Edits are also known to have been done to them, so what you're appealing to is suspect to say the least.

MM
You think the oldest Text, the 2nd century Text we translate New Testament Bibles by is questionable?

You clearly never attended Mishnah and on here presenting yourself as an Israelite.
The Jews have mastered the Torah and Tanakh and are more correct about the Word of God than anyone else.
For you to even argue against it proves you know nothing and have never been taught.
Had you been taught in Mishnah, you can easily take the English translation, even in their struggle with comprehension, and still see the teachings of Mishnah.

We should just stop debating one another.
I thought I was discussing with someone who had proper training.
Yeah. Been there, done that in the Mishnah. So what? I don't give a rat's petoot that you question my Israeli roots! I've been attacked by all kinds of other of my brethren who, like a pack of growling, gnashing wolves, think FAR too highly of themselves. I'm no better than our Gentile brothers in Christ. Perhaps you think of yourself in lofty terms and position, but I will gladly wipe the tables in Heaven to be close to our Lord if I had to.

You also seem to place an enormous amount of weight on those teachings from the perspective of the ancients and their traditions. I don't. Judaism is riddled with serious departures from the spirit of scripture, along with some of our Messianic kin who subscribe to the idea that we are still beholden to observance of the feasts, dietary, raiment and other of the Mosaic Law. A number of them have even told me that they will travel to Israel to participate in the red heifer sacrifices in order to glean a level of forgiveness not seen since before the destruction of the temple.

Will they be seeing you too in their midst while those meaningless sacrifices are taking place, bowing down and casting dung upon the sufficiency of the Blood of Christ? What's your position on all that?

You think the Jews are clueless about the Old Testament when it was God who gave them their Text in their native language?

What would you call ANY manuscript that is known to have been edited as many as five times in various sections throughout? That part of that are you not getting? What's lacking in your understanding of that known fact?

What native language? If you're talking about the Masoretic texts, no, I don't trust that book because I don't trust the rabbis who may have tampered with it. The Septuagint is Greek FROM the Hebrew manuscripts that are no longer in existence so far as they know.

So, what are you saying?

Every current Bible with the New Testament comes from that source. So you're claiming they're all faulty.

Are they clueless? You better believe they are! Rejection of Christ speaks to a horrid lack in their understanding! If they're so smart, then why can't they see their error?

The same Torah in the Temple and Synagogues that Jesus read Isaiah from is still the same version today.

Why would anyone trust the Hellenistic Septuagint when we have the same Torah version that Jesus used?

Why can't you seem to seem to grasp what I actually said? I stated that there are multiple edits within them, and that the belief in their being more authoritative ONLY because they are older, that doesn't prove anything. Mathematically challenged people never understand the probability studies behind the manuscripts.

We're discussing Old Testament and Jesus explained why their views are like they are for the New Testament.

39 Therefore they could not believe. For again Isaiah said,

40 “He has blinded their eyes
and hardened their heart,
lest they see with their eyes,
and understand with their heart, and turn,
and I would heal them.”

This was done for the GENTILES.

They only have edits because Scholars make such a claim.
Have you researched todays ""top Scholars?""

3 are Atheist and 2 Agnostic in past 50 years.

These Bibles are full of their edits.

As seems to always be the case, you continue to miss what John wrote to us in 1 John 2. Wow. This shuck and jive routine of dancing around to keep from being hit by the information flowing through all this exchange, it's really quite amazing. I never said ALL those older manuscripts were totally corrupted in every line and every page. I said that there is far more questionable reliance that should be applied to those compared to more than 6000+ other manuscripts.

Ok. (sigh) That blindness, yes. I understand that. The fact remains that the blinding of their eyes that the Lord places upon them individually is because of their acceptance for rejecting Christ Yahshuah! They are ALL without excuse! Please don't force the level of blindness to the level of accusation against the Lord Himself that would attempt to remove from them their responsibility for rejecting Yahshuah. Perfect justice demands that those held responsible for their rejection of Yahshuah is ONLY on them, regardless of the blindness placed upon them on the basis of their own hard-hearted choices. Their blindness is based upon their chosen disregard for the truth that they can read in their own scriptures and call upon His Name for salvation and deliverance. That blindness cannot be said to be a disallowance for them to have their eyes opened, because MANY of our Jewish brethren have turned their hearts to Yahshuah to this very day, and more are coming to him every day over there and abroad.

Oh, wow! This continues to amaze me! Spectral analysis, which is a part of what I do in my career, has CLEARLY shown those edits throughout those older manuscripts. Some of the original script is still legible, but ONLY through spectral analysis that can see what is invisible to the naked, human eye. I have read the science journals of those findings, and yes, they are credible. If you have a handfull of "scholars" who think themselves qualified to poo poo the work of their colleagues who have provided photographic evidence in journals of this claim for edits discovered edits...MANY edits.

But, hey, I don't have permission to send copies to anyone since they are heavily copyrighted and VERY large files, but they are out there willing to do their homework by gaining access to the right journal databases they can access with the right credentials, and see it all for themselves.

Those older Tanakh manuscripts all speak about the Coming Messiah. They are a picture of Jesus before Jesus arrived onto the scene.

The condition God applied to them made it impossible for them to understand even with all of the signs that were apparent. Paul even wrote to that condition...
“God gave them a spirit of stupor,
eyes that would not see
and ears that would not hear,
down to this very day.”

You seem to just toss this all away like most Reform do.

Scientific Journals can be copied/pasted and literally no one would report anyone for copyright.

You have 1 excuse after another and oddly enough they're always made in order to support your specific view.

I come from a lineage of Rabbis and it was my Grandfather who converted us to Christ. We have all the materials in our personal libraries so I am far from being concerned about your self proclamation towards your great achievements at any length.
