It isn't that hard to comprehend.....
God is perfect and created a perfect loving universe.
Sin is selfish and oposite to the love
The wages of sin is death. The result of sin is death. The man that sins shall surely die. Rom 6:23
"for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die". Gen 2:17
Sin = death
Sin is defined by the moral law of God.
1Jn 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
Rom_3:20 .... for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
Rom_5:13 .... but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
Rom_7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
The law is not sin. The law is not death.
It defines sin and sin results in death.
When The law is disobeyed it results in sin, which results in death.
