This seems to be a real hot topic in CC for some reason, it's probably triggered by the way of salvation doctrine connection. I will first say, that I'm not trying to step on anyone's toes here, just expressing how I see it. I'm not saying, I'm right or wrong, just how I currently see it.
Is God's ways higher, than our ways?
Isaiah 55:8-9
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord.
9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Does God create things for destruction?
Isaiah 45
“This is what the Lord says—
the Holy One of Israel, and its Maker:
Concerning things to come,
do you question me about my children,
or give me orders about the work of my hands?
12 It is I who made the earth
and created mankind on it.
My own hands stretched out the heavens;
I marshaled their starry hosts.
13 I will raise up Cyrus
in my righteousness:
I will make all his ways straight.
He will rebuild my city
and set my exiles free,
but not for a price or reward,
says the Lord Almighty.”
Romans 9:21
Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?

I was thinking that the difference between a new born baby, and the father of the new born baby, would make a great comparison of the difference between man and God's understanding, intelligence, and strength.
Last verse I will leave is.....
Matthew 22:14
For many are called, but few are chosen.
I will say it plainly, I think God wanted to choose HIS elect, and HE wants the elect to choose HIM. Can you imagine what heaven would be like with people living in paradise saying, "I hate paradise, why wasn't I given a choice"? That would ruin heaven for everyone in it, so only people that really love God and want to be with God, will be with God.
This was God's plan all along, but some angels, the devil, and all mankind (except Jesus) decided to go against the original plan. Maybe sin is just another way of saying, against the original plan for God's Kindowm?!?!
God is obviously the judge at the end, but saying what I believe is possible.
Does not God compare the union like a marriage? A man and wife? Doesn't the man choose the wife and the wife choose the man? I see it as a two way street, but I could be wrong, but this is how I see it.
This topic isn't really that important to me, but just sharing my thoughts on the matter. Feel free to try to make me understand a different view point, never really spent to much time on "Calvinism".
I hope this post is appreciated, since I feel I might of walked into a trap!
