This is a popular teaching by many if not most churches even what was predicted Rev 12:17, but it is not what Jesus or the disciples taught. Jesus did not die for our sins we can now worship other gods, bow to images, vain God's name, profane His holy Sabbath, covet, murder, steal or break the least of these commandments thus saith Jesus Mat 5:19-30
Fist we need to understand God's covenant. In all of God's Word the Ten Commandments is not called the "Mosaic Covenant" God identifies the Ten Commandments as "My covenant" God alone is writing the Ten Commandments with His own finger Exo 32:16 Exo 31:18 , this is His works, not Moses. The Ten Commandments was placed inside the ark of the covenant and the earthy temple was a copy of God's heavenly Temple where His covenant resides Rev 11:19 under His mercy seat where justice and grace come together and why not one jot or tittle can be removed as it is what we will be judged by. James 2:10-12 Ecc 12:13-14 Mat 5:19-30 Rev 22:14-15
Deut 4:13 So He (God) declared to you His covenant which He commanded you to perform, the Ten Commandments; and He wrote them on two tablets of stone.
Exo 34:28 So he was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; he neither ate bread nor drank water. And He (God) wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments.
Exo 32:16 16 The tablets were the work of God; the writing was the writing of God, engraved on the tablets.
Deut 5:22 “These words the Lord spoke to all your assembly, in the mountain from the midst of the fire, the cloud, and the thick darkness, with a loud voice; and He added no more. And He wrote them on two tablets of stone and gave them to me.
No wonder all of the Ten Commandments were kept and taught by Jesus in the New Covenant as it is still what defines sin when broken Rom 7:7 breaking one we break them all James 2:10-12 and how we are to love God and neighbor. 1 John 5:2-3, Romans 13:9 John 14:15 Exo 20:6
There are no teachings by Jesus or the apostles we can break the Ten Commandments. They were kept faithfully by Jesus and He taught not to break the least of these as it effects our status in heaven as it shows He does not reside in us John 14:15-18 Rom 8:7-8. The commandments are not meant to save only Jesus saves through faith - keeping the commandments shows we live by faith and by every Word. Mat 4:4 and He lives in us John 14:15-18 who enables us to keep His commandments and when Jesus enters us we want to obey everything He asks of us because we love Him. God's people will keep His law faithfully until He returns Rev 14:12 Rev 22:14
It is quite clear that Jesus, the Jews, the disciples, Paul followed the commandments, even in the O.T. we find;
Exo 12:48 And when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the Passover to the LORD, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof.
As I explained in the O.P the Commandments are set apart and are forever, this includes the last day of the week sabbath fourth Commandment.
Gradually after all of the apostles died of the N.T. the sabbath day was changed to the lord's day or Sunday worship, the earliest I found was in the mid second century in Italy where they observed Sunday sabbath. The major change occurred in 321 A.D. Constantine made Sunday sabbath worship into a law.
There is no biblical evidence for Sunday worship, None of the 8 verses containing "first day of the week" say that the apostles stopped observing the sabbath and observed the Sunday as the day of sabbath.
as for Act 20:7 the sabbath start is from Friday at sundown and ends Saturday at sundown;
Act 20:7 And upon the first day of the week, when the disciples came together to break bread, Paul preached unto them, ready to depart on the morrow; and continued his speech until midnight.
Act 20:8 And there were many lights in the upper chamber, where they were gathered together.
Act 20:9 And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead.
The first day of the week started Saturday just after sunset, this is what is described a meeting and they broke bread until midnight late at night on the first day of the week, it does not say they did not observe the sabbath but that they continued to worship late at night on the first day of the week.
The "lord's Day" is mentioned only once in the Bible in;
Rev 1:10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and heard behind me a great voice, as of a trumpet,
some cross reference for this verse are;
Matthew 12:8
For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath
Lord of the sabbath day or "Lord's day"
same for Luke 6:5 ;"And he said unto them, That the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.
For verse, 1 cor 16:2;
1Co 16:1 Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye.
1Co 16:2 Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
1Co 16:3 And when I come, whomsoever ye shall approve by your letters, them will I send to bring your liberality unto Jerusalem.
1Co 16:4 And if it be meet that I go also, they shall go with me.
Where does it mention a sabbath day? A collection for the saints to be brought to Jerusalem is mentioned not sabbath rest Paul even said not to gather when he comes....
There is No evidence in the N.T that the Sabbath was moved from Saturday to Sunday. It is Men who changed the law of GOD.

Sunday came from sun worship and became a tradition of man and turned into Sunday worship. Scripture says the whole world will be deceived, its so obvious yet people hold fast to their traditions instead of obeying the commanemnts of God.
There is clear evidence in history that the Sabbath was changed and the people who changed it admit they did so on their authority, they are above the bible and we should follow tradition over scripture.
Why Jesus in His own Words warned us not to keep traditions over the commandments of God, and went so far to say it is worshipping in vain (false worship) and our hearts are far from Him (opposite of the New Covenant- God's law written in our hearts and minds)
Matthew 14:3 He answered and said to them, “Why do you also transgress the commandment of God because of your tradition? 4 For God commanded, saying, ‘Honor your father and your mother’; and, ‘He who curses father or mother, let him be put to death.’ 5 But you say, ‘Whoever says to his father or mother, “Whatever profit you might have received from me is a gift to God”— 6 then he need not honor his father [a]or mother.’ Thus you have made the commandment of God of no effect by your tradition. 7 Hypocrites! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying:
8 ‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth,
And honor Me with their lips,
But their heart is far from Me.
9 And in vain they worship Me,
Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’ ”
We are called to worship Him in Truth and Spirit- all of God's commandments are Truth Psa 119:151
We are living in the last days and no wonder He is calling His people out of their false teachings Rev 18:4 which He calls abominations. Revelation 17:4 And if one does a deep study on all the things God calls abominations including sun worship Eze 8:16-17 its amazing how far away we have come from God's pure Word. Pro 30:5-6

That may be so, but the Bible does not speak about "Sunday". The Bible speaks about "the first day of the week". The day on which Christ rose from the dead. So focusing on "Sunday" is just a straw man argument. Christians call the first day of the week "The Lord's Day". This term is never applied to the 7th day Sabbath.
BTW the 7th day of the week is called "Saturday" in honor of the pagan god Saturn. So do you worship Saturn? As a matter of fact Sol is a better god than Saturn. "This god is so malevolent that a single glance from the evil-eyed deity burned off the head of the infant Ganesa, god of good fortune and prosperity. Associated with childhood disease, Sani demonstrates that not even a god's luck can stand against the inevitability that Saturn represents."
Yes, the first day of the week is what we now call Sunday. In scripture there is nothing that connects the Lords day to the first day of the week. God only has one holy day that He claimed on His authority all other days are working days Exo 20:9
God in His own Words identified His holy day which is what I follow since its a commandment of God.
Exo 20:10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God.
Isa 58:13 “If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath,
From doing your pleasure on My holy day,
And call the Sabbath a delight,
The holy day of the Lord honorable,
And shall honor Him, not doing your own ways,
Nor finding your own pleasure,
Mark 2:28 Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath.”
Isa 66:23 And from one Sabbath to another,
All flesh shall come to worship before Me,” says the Lord.
God does not change.
PS- Your BTW is not from scripture. Many pagan rituals outside of scripture became Christian traditions. Something scripture warns us about. Mat 15:3-9 Isa 8:20
Because Jesus rose on the first day of the week, this does not make it God's holy day. Jesus rose that day because He was resting on the sabbath. There is no biblical truth to show that the first day is the Lords day but there are verses that show that the seventh day sabbath is the Lords' day. Mark 2:28, Ex 20, Isa 58:13. You are following tradition.
The names of the day's mean little, but what the Lord says is what counts. God said Exo 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
Shabbat (The Lord's Day) also known as Saturday is the 7th day. It is the day we are SUPPOSED to rest from all our work. Yeshua Himself said "Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath". Mark 2:27.

Are you subject to God's moral laws? The point was that there is no biblical reason to call sunday the Lords day.

As Lord of the Sabbath when did Jesus say we should change the day?
New Testament teaching is that the Law is obsolete. There is a superior law now, the Law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus. If the 10 commandments are your standard, your standard is way too low. God's standard is Jesus now, not the law. What does "Died to the law" mean? That's in my Bible. How about yours?
If my car is running low on petrol, I get some. The religious have a fit if I do that on the Sabbath. It's work, after all. However, it beats running out of fuel on my way to church. You really think that God is mad at me for that "transgression"? That's how law works.
Luk 6:9 Then said Jesus unto them, I will ask you one thing; Is it lawful on the sabbath days to do good, or to do evil? to save life, or to destroy it?
Let God judge you. The question i ask is can i prepare for the sabbath so i don't need to worry about these situations.
If you surrender to the Lord and walk as He dirrects the sabbath becomes a delight.
Man has a habit of taking God's commandments and both destroying (making void) them or making them so strict (man made rules, tradition), that the good is lost.
That sums up the evidence for the first day being the Lord's day.
Also, church tradition established the first day as the day, when we gather and break the bread.
Only Israel received the law, covenants, temple, priesthood.
Romans 9:4
Who are Israelites, to whom belongs the adoption as sons and daughters, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the Law, the temple service, and the promises; 5 whose are the fathers, and from whom is the Christ according to the flesh.
Israel was the only country in the world with a Sabbath day.
Did the Gentiles know the God of the Old Testament, did the Gentiles obey a Sabbath?
Ephesians 2:11-12
Therefore remember that previously you, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called “Uncircumcision” by the so-called “Circumcision” which is performed in the flesh by human hands remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the people of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of the promise, having no hope and without God in the world.
It is very clear that the Gentiles knew nothing about the law, not even the Sabbath law.
Rome did not get a day off a week until Constantine. It was impossible for a Roman to obey a Sabbath, in the first, second, or third century.
Not much use preaching the gospel when people are away working. The Sabbath was the day of rest and the day for teaching and preaching.MATTHEW 4:23
And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel
of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

Then He went down to Capernaum, a town in Galilee, and on the Sabbath He began to teach the people.

On another Sabbath Jesus entered the synagogue and was teaching, and a man was there whose right hand was withered.

One Sabbath Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues,
God rested the 7th day. Jesus the 1st day. A case can be made from Matthew 28:1 for the change. A better translation would be...In the end of the Sabbath, as it began to dawn on the first of the Sabbaths...The same word translated week is the same word previously translated Sabbath.
Also, to truly keep the Sabbath one must understand what the Sabbath rest actually pointed to...and that is Christ and the rest to be found in Him. So anyone who merely thought they were keeping the Sabbath holy without connecting it to Christ was never actually keeping it fully.
Lastly, the transition from the old covenant to the new covenant, of necessity, would take some time. New revelation was necessary as the cross changed everything. So it was natural that Christians who were predominantly Jewish would continue in the ways that were familiar to them. But by Acts 20 the church was meeting on the first day of the week.
The ten commandments were the spoken word before they were written.
Question, what do you do with these two commandments?
1 John 3:23-24
This is His commandment, that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded us. The one who keeps His commandments remains in Him, and He in him. We know by this that He remains in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.
Looks as though you might have welded the old covenant into the new covenant.

Israel gathered on the Sabbath and it appears that was the key day for preaching.
When Jesus was at the temple preaching that was often on the Sabbath.
Also, we find Paul preaching to the Jews on the Sabbath day.
