Why do people like to think they are such bad dudes?
A kid started work at my job a few days ago. This guy is a young minister, working at our store while he is in college.
The people in the grill were talking about this, and the general consensus was that he will never fit in with such a group of reprobates. We will either chase him away or ruin him.
I commented dryly: "Well I dunno. I've been here almost 15 years and I'm still okay."
"Oh... Oh yeah. Well... You're different though." (I'm really not.)
Thing is, there isn't a single really BAD person there. A few who aren't so bright, some I wouldn't trust with my wallet, but most of them are pretty good and there are none that are truly evil.
But the way they talk, you'd think guys were bending girls over the sink and doing lines of cocaine off the grill.
