Thats right, the earthy temple means nothing anymore it was left desolate due to disobedience. The veil being torn meant it was the end of the earthy temple system. Jesus does not minister from an earthy temple but from a heavenly Temple not built by human hands. Heb 8:1-5. After the earthy temple ended- it points to the heavenly Temple and in the old temple all the furniture in the courtyard and holy place has a greater meaning.
For example the alter where animals were sacrifice pointed to Jesus who is the Lamb of God who take the away the sin of the world
