a blessing to read this reply, I was seeking to for an answer, I thought I would just read the replies first before giving one,Paul is making a point, not describing a set of people. "Doers" here is contrasted with "hearers". That's the point of the sentence.
Those who are merely hearers but don't do what they hear are not going to be justified; in order to be justified, you must actually do what the Law requires.
The problem is that, as Paul states, nobody is righteous... no amount of "law doing" is sufficient to make one righteous. We have all sinned and cannot move ourselves from "sinner" to "justified" because we have all failed to "do" what the law requires.
