false doctrine isn t the idol it’s what causes men to create and worship idols doctrine creates ideology ideation ect the actions and idol making and worship comes from that it’s the motivation within minds and hearts behind idols and worship of them from Greek mythological gods worshipped in the times of the Bible or pagan gods of ba upon or Egyptian myths and worship of the sin and those false deities tbey claimed to be as pharoahs ect
doctrine is really important because it’s what shapes our belief what we take on and believe becomes our belief and faith and will impact our actions false doctrine can lead us to worship many idols but right doctrine will

The simplest and foundational example of false doctrine and what it is and what it causes in us . is in genesis chapter 2-3
God tells them Something really important a matter of life and death. It’s very clear blessing and also warnkng in one commandment “ you are free but this one thing you must not do or you’ll surely die “
satan then Came along after god said what he said and distorted it and said the opposite subtly and by explaining something to them

“but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”

( he’s removed the certain death part that God warned them about and created a reason to want to eat the fruit we”ll Be as gods ….now look at how false doctrine affects them they hadn’t eaten the fruit but now
