Lets look closely at what happens after James and Peter stop talking. It does say (in verse 13) how Paul and Barnabas "fall silent," allowing James to respond, this does not take away from the entire assembly "falling silent" after Peter's teaching in verse 12. Why? Because we are dealing with 2 Greek words. In 13, the verb is "sigesai" (infinitive aorist: meaning that Paul and Barnabas finished talking). In verse 12, it's "esigese" (past tense aorist usage -- meaning that the assembly REMAINED SILENT after Peter's address). And, indeed, after Peter speaks, all debate stops. The matter had been settled.
Spiritually speaking, yes, but now physically. You can't even argue that the apostles had no authority over the church, they did.
Judas held the money and authority over it, while Peter had authority over disciples (John 21:17). And yes he did have a big mouth, but that doesn't mean he didn't have big authority, if anything it only proves he did.
Paul did not rebuke him to show him "he's not above anyone" he rebuked him because he committed a heresy. I never said Peter or any pope is infallible. And of course, it would be a very different scenario if a bishop rebuked a modern pope to his face because they became corrupt and full of power not given to them by the Bible. Peter getting rebuked just means he didn't have the absolute authority that popes today have.
RCC Papal succession links back to Peter. The orthodox recognizes the RCC pope, but not as the ultimate authority, just one of several bishiops. Orthodox succession does not link to Peter and does not control anything RCC.

RCC originated from Papal succession starting from Peter. Council of Nicea was in 325, Rome did not adopt Christianity until 380.

The funny thing is, he keeps insisting we must submit to the RCC unless or except in cases where they are in opposition to the Word of God, when it is impossible to be an RCC member unless you submit to their heretical dogmas concerning Mary that go directly against what the Bible says and the very words of Jesus Christ. He keeps yammering on about this while being completely ignorant of this fact even though he has been informed of it many times. He must be very fond of and attached to his ignorance. And this is certainly not the place for it.

According to the RCC the order of authority is first the clergy, second tradition, and third the Bible. This is straight from my uncle's Catholic Encyclopedia which was written and published by the RCC. According to them, the clergy supersedes the authority of the Bible (which is the word of God).
Pharisees also made the word of God of no effect, but Jesus still told everyone to obey them (Mathew 23:3)
Most of the world governments don't even recognize the word of God, and yet Romans 13:1 still commands us to be under their authority.
Understanding is not for Everyone

Matt 7: 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven, but he that doeth the will of my Father, who is in heaven.
In order to do the Father's will, you have to know what His will is in your life. That happens when you are filled with His Holy Spirit through which both Father and Son reside, communicates, empowers, and fills with divine love for God first and everyone else as one loves himself. We are obeying His will when all our motivation for every thought and action is this love. We are perfected because we will then be obeying the Spirit of the Law as described by Jesus when asked about the greatest commandment.

That verse refers to unbelievers, not disagreements between believers. Everyone claims they are the ones who have the true understanding of the word of God, but most contradict each other, so that's the point of this discussion, to find the truth.
Evidently we are to become Roman Catholic, learn church doctrine and ignore it because it is unbiblical. Then when new stuff is made up we are to believe it because God is giving new revelation, except that is against what the Bible teaches so we ignore that.
Basically, we are to believe everything and nothing all at the same time. How am I doing?

The psalmist begs help of God, because there were none among men whom he durst trust.
This psalm furnishes good thoughts for bad times; a man may comfort himself with such meditations and prayers. Let us see what makes the times bad, and when they may be said to be so. Ask the children of this world, What makes the times bad? they will tell you, Scarcity of money, decay of trade, and the desolations of war, make the times bad: but the Scripture lays the badness of the times on causes of another nature, 2 Timothy 3:1, & c.: perilous times shall come, for sin shall abound; and of this David complains. When piety decays times really are bad. He who made man's mouth will call him to an account for his proud, profane, dissembling, or even useless words. When the poor and needy are oppressed, then the times are very bad. God himself takes notice of the oppression of the poor, and the sighing of the needy. When wickedness abounds, and is countenanced by those in authority, then the times are very bad. See with what good things we are here furnished for such bad times; and we cannot tell what times we may be reserved for. 1. We have a God to go to, from whom we may ask and expect the redress of all our grievances. 2. God will certainly punish and restrain false and proud men. 3. God will work deliverance for his oppressed people. His help is given in the fittest time. Though men are false, God is faithful; though they are not to be trusted, God is. The preciousness of God's word is compared to silver refined to the highest degree. How many proofs have been given of its power and truth! God will secure his chosen remnant, however bad the times are. As long as the world stands, there will be a generation of proud and wicked men. But all God's people are put into the hands of Christ our Saviour; there they are in safety, for none can pluck them thence; being built on Him, the Rock, they are safe, notwithstanding temptation or persecution come with ever so much force upon them.
