I agree. Earlier you stated that everyone must choose Christ. It's a semantical point, but I believe it's more accurate to say will choose Christ, as enabled by God through faith. I make the distinction because many believe that we exercise faith prior to a work of God in us, and God responds to us. I would argue that we respond to the work of God in us.I believe it is as a result of a work of God in us that we believe unto salvation.
My understanding:
1. Grace comes first.
2. Faith comes after.
"No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day. "It is written in the prophets, 'And they shall all be taught by God.' Therefore everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to Me.
- John 6:44-45
Either way, understanding how exactly salvation transpires isn't necessary for salvation itself. And I truly appreciate your time and effort and patience in answering all my questions.
I said I would give opportunity for any explanation you care to share. Please share anything you believe will be helpful to me.
