This is an inaccurate assessment of what happened. He has a special rig setup to help him communicate. Even when this was made known to you, rather than exercise grace, you chose offense. You did so because you don't understand his situation, or seem to even care.
The above doesn't even deal with your hypocrisy. You expect to be accommodated, yet you are unwilling to accommodate another. Your ignore his infirmity and take offense. You could have easily exercised mercy.
Not only this, had you taken the time to get to know him, you would know of his love and reverence towards God.
Having said all this, his replies to you could have been gentler and more loving. We all have a responsibility before the Lord to exercise love, especially to those in the Lord.
“his replies to you could have been gentler and more loving. We all have a responsibility before the Lord to exercise love, especially to those in the Lord”
yes indeed always for pert near fourty years or so now since I started looking at myself like I used to look at others with that judgemental thing we all have in some form , always I can look back a day or week or years and see things I could have done better and mistakes I made
We are all in a process sometimes we feel like we’ve arrived and there’s no more we can do any better …..the Jesus opens our eyes a bit more and we realize that was foolish because we’re still miles from perfect though we have a high goal and we press on towards the calling of heaven
Paul tells us we need to have the minds of disciples always reaching forth to better . Your right brother and days before that there was something else before that another thing in the end I need Jesus because I’ve changed a lot over the years getting old does that tonus in more ways than one. but as much as I feel I’ve changed for the better perfection isn’t something I’ve reached or believe I will reach while in the flesh because I know in
Not perfect and will need mercy all my days I find the greatest news in the things Jesus taught because it means that
an imperfect guy like myself who knows he still makes mistakes sometimes can still be saved not by the law of course but by the gospel
“For
if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
but
if ye forgive not men their trespasses,
neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”
Matthew 6:14-15 KJV
This type of thing is irrelevant to a religious person who thinks they are righteous and without sin or temptation , but to a person like me that understands I still have plenty of potential to make mistakes and act a fool that instruction and truth from the lord this imperfect man can be saved through mercy rather than judgement
“So
speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty. ( John 8:31-32) For
he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy; ( if we Christian’s aren’t merciful towards others we shouldn’t expect to be judged with mercy Ourselves )
and
mercy rejoiceth against judgment.”( if we are merciful we can rejoice headed to judgement knowing his word promises mercy to the merciful )
James 2:12-13 KJV
i need this
“
Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
Judge not, and ye shall not be judged:
condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned:
forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:
give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall be given into your bosom. For
with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”
Luke 6:36-38 KJV
If we are merciful we will have mercy these kinds of things Jesus teaches in the gospel can save us because he is that judge
“And
he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he which was ordained of God to be the Judge of quick and dead. To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins. While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word.”
Acts 10:42-44
a when we go to judgement it’s going to be based not on the ot and what Moses said but in the gospel and what Jesus said that new covenant word is able to save us
“Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and
receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.”
James 1:21 KJV
All Of us have sinned we all fall short sometines whether we can see and admit it or not so then the gospel is what we have to live by the grace isn’t just something we receive from God it’s something he teaches us to give to others who are less than perfect and make mistakes that offend us
I am Not claiming to be right in all my actions and words , just being honest certain things seem ridiculous to me next week even after this of the same situation arose , it’s going to be comical to me and I’ll most likely respond in a similar way .
It’s like if you’re watching an asteroid headed to earth but you’re concerned about the type of shoes your neighbor has on , and you just insist he change his shoes or head back into his house . The neighbor doesn’t care if you like his shoes or not it’s not even a consideration , he’s looking up at the asteroid
