Apparently politicians are prone to corruption. We have the cases against Trump, and likely Biden as well. Sliding cash into their own pockets seems to be the law of the political game.

Over here it’s no better. The last few weeks politicians have been charged with corruption, insider trading, bribery, downright lying and etc on a weekly basis. Even the former PM is in serious trouble now.

The collateral damage is that the only thing you can truly trust in a politician is that he or she is genuinely crooked.

That is what the American government wants is for the people to hate the government, and not trust them, and look at them as corrupt, and not of a great character.

They also want the people to fight with each other over the political parties which is the purpose of Donald Trump to stir up the patriots to increase the fighting, and that is why they went to left wing and right wing to increase the fighting.

Then they have an excuse to go to a new form of government that is neither Republican or Democrat, but a balance between democracy and communism which will mimic the one world government to come.

Which the one world religious system will be a balance between atheist, and spirituality, and their higher power the God of forces the power of nature which they believe they are evolving to be spiritual, and a god, and there is no god.

I am sure Canada is doing the same thing.

The top leaders of Republican and Democrat are actually working together which is the Hegel System the same as America and Russia are working together.

The United Nations supports new age organizations and is with them as well as Science.

The nations are working together and any talk of war, or war, or conflicts between nations is a scare tactic to drive the world together to work for peace on Earth.

After WW1, League of Nations.

After WW2, United Nations.

And now it is time for a one world government.

Controlled conflict brings about controlled change.

I think Donald Trump is a poor example of a corrupt politician. He is many things, and there is plenty to find fault with, but he is most definitely not "a politician". Also, he had Mueller looking for corruption for three years, two impeachments and a number of AG's promising to find something. At present he has been indicted but not for corruption.

Instead I think Hillary Clinton and Nancy Pelosi would be much better examples of "corrupt politicians".

All the politicians that rubber stamped all the pandemic measures are "corrupt politicians" and all those beating the war drum over Ukraine, or over Iraq, they were also corrupt politicians.

Katie Hobbs, and Governor Cuomo are good examples of corrupt politicians.

Indeed.
This is why trying to invest emotionally and practically in politics is a pointless endeavor.
It's usually the mass-consciousness of a place which keeps the place running, until a politician ruins the rules, norms and way of life for that place.
Usually things run by themselves unless again a politician screws up badly.
That's my sentiment on politicians basically.

That's why I'm just waiting for the Lord Jesus to return and rule. According to the Bible, those who rule the nations with Him will be by His appointment, not by vote of the people of each nation, state and city. So no voter fraud!

They will rule with a rod of iron just as King Jesus will so that there is fairness and justice. So any attempt at corruption would be hard for the mortal men to accomplish. These rulers also would be impossible to assassinate. By that time, those who reign with the Lord will have been clothed with the imperishable. I wonder what other powers they will have? Because Jesus was able to vanish and appear elsewhere at a moments notice.

Donald Trump ... is most definitely not "a politician".
pol·i·ti·cian
noun: politician; plural noun: politicians

a person who is professionally involved in politics, especially as a holder of or a candidate for an elected office.

A politician is a person who has political power in the government of a state, a person
active in party politics, or a person holding or seeking an elected office in government.

Let's look at Biblical politicians.

Saul and then David....
Both abused their office for personal gain.
And Solomon broke the Torah Law so often that it appeared that he never cared one whit about what was said in it.

The list of corrupt kings in scripture is lengthy. Even Roman and Jewish politicians in New Testament scripture were corrupt...including Barrabis who was set free instead of Jesus. The religious leaders were obviously corrupt.

Because of this we have an expression of "power corrupts" but that's not true at all....the truth is that power attracts the corruptible. That people wanting to be corrupt want the office of power so they can enrich themselves.

Did you see the protesters this week screaming down AOC? I think she was a little shaken by it. I think the immigrant issue would be one of those bad screw ups you're talking about.

lol, yes i saw it and you can see how crazy and narcissistic she is by dancing when people boo her.
That's one of these cases where even the libs who voted for her, see her as too extreme or unqualified.

The concept of Public Service escapes many politicians.

I think what was meant was he's not a "career politician".

Nearly all of these points are biblically and logically incorrect.

I'm not claiming they derive from bad intentions... I'm just claiming they're provably incorrect.

I'll try to map them out later.

What I meant is that Trump is a very special case and is not a stereotypical politician. If you want a stereotype for "corrupt politician" then Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Clinton, LBJ, Joe Biden etc. would all be better examples.

1.) By "Boolean Algebra" you seem to be criticizing me for using LOGICAL PROCESSES.

2.) However, the use of logic is only a criticism in the mind of the illogical.

3.) I wholly confess to being logical... just as you apparently confess to being illogical.

Thank you for pointing out my reliance on logic:
I'm humbled by this kind recognition of my endeavors.
I'm moved and deeply humbled.

As fun as this was, I still don't have time to deal with you earlier post till later.

Just like when Israel ask for a king to judge them like "all the nations" in verse 5... Now all we need to do is to look at verses 10-18 to see just exactly what a king of all the other nations will do because he explains that they do this. https://biblehub.com/interlinear/1_samuel/8.htm

Somebody said that the sane will appear to be crazy in an insane world... and this gives me a better appreciation of Lewis Carroll's Through the Looking Glass. It's become hard to find a normally functioning mirror anymore. :coffee:
