All preferences aside, “meatloaf” just sounds wrong.

Perhaps if it were given a more appetizing name, it would have fewer haters.

And, sorry, “protein bar” is taken, though that is equally wrong.
What about "meatcake"?

Give me halibut or give me Rock fish! If neither of those is available, give me Cod.
Isn't Rock fish cod, also? We fished for both Ling and Rock cod. Ling was preferable .:D

Ah! I just looked up Rockfish: otherwise known as Pacific Cod .:D

But it can be other species of fishies as well...

The more than 70 species of Pacific rockfish can be found from the Bering Sea
in Alaska to Baja California with only 12 varieties being sold commercially.

I can tell you one thing! That old thread looks pretty much exactly like this one here.😂
One thing I'm very happy to see -- the Singles Forum still has its sense of humor. :D

I preferred cod fishing to fishing for salmon... and if I'm having fish and chips? Cod over halibut any day! .:D

Although, with all the talk about preferences of fish, I'm beginning to think we're going to have to rename the thread, "When It Comes to Dinner, In Cod We Trust!"

I still think of you whenever someone has some strange new way in which they eat bread  (often it is because of something my 10 year old does)
Would you believe, we've had so many crazy adventures here over the years, I only vaguely remember "the bread thread" and can't even recall exactly what it was about?!

I found the post I was thinking of and mentioned in another thread:

So far, we have 8 pages, or 140 whole posts filled with meatloaf, everybody!!!
Reading this post made me laugh at how ridiculous an entire thread, with multiple pages, mostly about meatloaf, probably sounds!

But then again:

8 pages of meatloaf can't be any worse than the nearly 1800 pages of the "Not By Works" thread.

Ah, so many friends from the past. WineRose was a young teen who used to hang out here every day. She'd be a grown young lady by now, I hope she's doing well.

But the best thing about these threads is that we pick up new friends along the way. :giggle:

So... The Old Meatloaf Thread actually made it to 9 pages.

How likely are we to set a new record here?! :geek::cool::p

Well, hence this being the sequel I guess we need to stretch out some of them old meatloaf recipes like those Hollywood folks are stretching out the plots in their movies.

I saw in the old thread where the conversation stretched out over to g(houl)ash for a bit...

Well, after all, it IS almost Halloween.

In just a moment of seriousness...

The very reason I write these threads is because people are going through hard times. We're all tired, stressed, worn too thin and pulled in too many directions.

Some are dealing with illnesses, financial hardships, separations, taking care of others who can't take care of themselves... and the list goes on.

If a silly nonsense conversation like this can make a person smile or laugh, just for an instant, and give them a little boost that helps them get through their day, then these threads have done their jobs.

I love that God has given us the gift of humor and hope we can use it to bring joy into each other's lives.

I’m not the one creating threads so I’m glad you write these threads which are turning into humorous banter.😀

I’m kinda backtracking on my previous praising of cod confronted with this monstrous thing.😂
Who's gonna go looking for a fish tongue confronted with teeth like that? .:ROFL::LOL:
