You are correct. I put 2 thoughts together. I don't know of any normal sickness that the congregation suffers from.
I recommend the Alpha Course to our newcomers who say they are recent converts and/or looking for answers related to Christian beliefs. I do have a soft spot in my heart for it, for it was while I was attending the course that I came to the realization that it was geared to convincing people of the Truth of God's revealed written word. Concurrent with that realization came another: I no longer needed any more convincing. This was a major turning point for me, to know I had finally laid down my opposition to God, and I was baptized at the end of the course. .Another local church were hosting an 'Alpha Course', but as soon as I walked in with my chums I decided i didn't like the vibes, so i u-turned and walked straight back out.
As I made my way down the street one of the group leaders came hurrying after me shouting "Wait, please come back'", it was like trying to escape from Colditz, but I was able to shake him off down a side street and made a home run..
