I really didn't have a question. My comments were in response to DJT_42 and Lamar's stance that water baptism was a requirement for salvation.

BTW: It was my zeal to show them wrong and a little anger (which I should not have had) that led to my comment about your GIF.
I actually thought it was funny.

Can unsaved person be baptized in the Holy Spirit?

Hello George,

I would say no because faith is key to our relationship with God. With faith all things are possible, without faith nothing is possible.

But without faith it is impossible to please Him. For he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (Hebrews 11:6) God Bless You :)

My last thought here for today, on topic.
No, I don't think a non-believer can receive baptism of The Holy Spirit. Only a true believer can achieve that.
But, that doesn't mean He isn't near.

How can the Bible make a statement that is from God and we think it's not for Today?

I serve a God who is the SAME yesterday Today and forever.

So, If it happens in the Bible, why do we think that changes because it's 2,000 years later?

If God was how God was 2,000 years ago, then God is the same Today because He NEVER CHANGES.

Show me how God changed from Adam to when Jesus was here?

People like Pharisees changed and Jesus told them about but God didn't change in 4,000 years to that point.

Now, it's 2,000 years later, why would God change when He hasn't for the first 6,000 years?

God hasn't changed because He can't. But He has dealt with people differently over the course of history. The immutability of God doesn't preclude Him from changing the way He does things.

But, there's nothing in the New Testament that says what we read stops.

So, why do people believe just the opposite?

It's their understanding of scripture. You don't have to agree with it. But there's no reason to let it rob you of your joy. Try your best to share truth and leave the results to God.

Also, since only pastors and Evangelists are left, who was the supposed PROPHET that said Tongues has Ceased?

There's no preacher in past 1800 years been qualified to make that claim.

Okay, God stopped sending the blessings of manna to the Israelites. They could no longer rely on the supernatural supply of food.
God did not tell them that this supernatural blessing was going to end.

He just stopped it. No warning.

Joshua 5:12

Seriously, only a Prophet can Announce when God has ended a way He was doing things.

So, WHO, is this Prophet in past 1900 years to say, God stopped Speaking in Tongues?

Why would you need a "PROPHET" to say "Tongues has Ceased"???

What would be the purpose?
