This was on a message board by person named MB I did not book mark it but I think he sums it up perfectly in line with your post.

When you are a full on compromiser then these things will continue to happen.
When you have little-to-no standards (at least biblically) then you’ve got nothing to stand on when these things continue to happen.

When you partner with non-Christians and anti-Christians for a Christian/ministry project then expect more and more of this to happen.
When you add to, change, twist, and pervert God’s pure and perfect Word — in obvious defiance of what His Word says — then anything goes, and this will get worse and worse.

However, as alarming, deceitful, and damaging as all of that is, perhaps the bigger problem and concern is that so many Christians have so little discernment and cannot see what is so obvious right in front of them. Instead, they will continue to praise Jenkins, his mixture of truth and error and his subversion of God’s Word and biblical Christianity.

Will any of his close friends and those who love him call him out? If so, how will he respond? One pattern has been clearly established, he always responds poorly when confronted with his compromises, error, capitulation, etc.

This points to the likelihood that he has been enabled from early on.
Preaching to the choir here. I've been pointing out the compromised nature of this production from the get-go; it's a little bit funny that it took a pride flag to finally get people's attention. I just wonder, if Dallas Jenkins and all the people who attacked the fans apologized tomorrow, and they fired the gay guy, if people would go right back to watching and praising the show.

Preaching to the choir has some value I think.

That is a very good point, people have very short memories and they lack discernment.
Christians have overlooked and turned the other way for a long time no one should be surprised that children will be the next target, almost there, this is real life I am witnessing these discussions in real life.

Who is "the gay guy"? Pssst, you are one of the people attacking fans of the show.

Thinking about your point and Jenkins statement it is not a "ministry" interesting how this non-ministry is selling Bible study materials.

Hmm, that's interesting, it doesn't surprise me though. I wouldn't call this stuff ministry materials though; merchandising sounds more like it. Looking around it seems there's a lot of "Chosen" stuff out there.

I found PDFs of the first two interactive "Bible studies" here:

https://assets.localretailconnect.com/cr/product-pdf/9780830782680.pdf

https://assets.localretailconnect.com/cr/product-pdf/9780830782703.pdf

They're fairly shallow and contain nothing I can see that a person can't learn from reading the Bible or searching online. The kits appear to have the shows on DVD but I wouldn't pay the ridiculous price they're asking for them.

A lot of this seems so trendy: "Hey have you seen the latest Chosen whatever?" This is what passes for Christianity these days. It's become so ingrained that when you try to tell people it's not Christianity they think you're the deceiver.

View attachment 251924 Simply do a search for the key words"the Chosen pride flag" and you'll find a whole lot about this.

They have also gone from being privately crowd funded to teaming up with Lionsgate.
Do you honestly think that the gospel of Jesus Christ and Him crucified, overcoming death, hell and the grave by His blood will ever be rightly portrayed in this production?

I don't.

To those who claim to follow Christ and love this show:
Are you still a fan?
Thank you for pointing this out, and I was never a fan of that show.

As someone once very correctly stated, "where favoritism and partiality exist, discernment necessarily dies."

"The Chosen" has done that this very well played on people's emotions and loyalty so much so that they defend what God condemns.
No wonder A. W. Tozer spoke about the menace of the religious movie.

Hi.

I am very familiar with Tozer, but I had never heard of his teaching on "The menace of the religious movie" before now. I just finished listening to an audio reading of what Tozer wrote on the matter here:

It was a 45 minute listen, and it certainly gave me some things to think about. Not necessarily new things, but more so things which I have always believed without really considering them in the manner in which Tozer described them.

Personally, I have always greatly preferred the written or spoken word, and I have spent vast amounts of time in prayerful Bible reading and study, yet, admittedly, I have also watched quite a number of so-called "Christian movies" over the years. Most of them (like 90 something percent of them), I could not stand because they did not line up properly with scripture. In fact, on another thread, when asked what type of movies I like to watch, I recently responded by saying:
I pretty much like any Christian movie that doesn't contradict God's word and movies about love that aren't perverted.
In retrospect, I would have to say that movies have always been somewhat of an "escape" for me. Not that I was seeking an escape from reality, but more so that I was seeking to give my mind a bit of a rest from the constant burden that I feel for lost souls and also for my own progressive sanctification before the Lord.

As far as "The Chosen" is concerned, that is such a Satanic production that it grieves me immeasurably to see it embraced and promoted by multitudes of people who profess to be Spirit-filled and Bible-believing Christians. At first glance, and every other glance since, I recognized it for the Satanic counterfeit that it is.

Anyhow, spending actual time in God's word has always impacted me far more greatly than anything else, so I will cut off all "supplements" to the same moving forward.

Thanks for your comments.

They were not in vain.

Yes that was a paraphrase of his intent/thesis taken from the video.

It is a good video, I was thinking to link it but figured no one would be interested.

Awesome you found the channel and listened to it.:)

Indeed!

Those that can see without the emotional lens see it for what it is. The pride flag just before June was no accident and one would think that would sort of wake Christians up, for some it has by what I have read on social media, however, some continue to defend it tells me there are very immature Christians who place feel good movies above God.

Please don't ever assume a lack of interest. There are always some who are interested in growing in their walk with Christ.
