What brought you to CC?
I've been a member of other Christian forums. There are a couple where I spend a lot of time, and then there are many that I rarely visit. I stumbled across this one after one of my favorite ones closed down for a short while.
Name five things you are grateful for.
I'm grateful for life, my children, my spouse, food, clothing, and shelter, and most of all for having been saved by Jesus Christ.
What do you like to do for fun?
When I was younger I would say running, windsurfing, scuba diving, snorkeling. Now that I'm old I can still run sometimes and I like to take naps, read Christian fiction, and watch movies.
Do you have any pets? What are they?
My last pets were Alaskan husky dogs. They were outdoor dogs and I'd go skijouring with them.
What is your dream job?
I've been retired for over 20 years now and am not seeking employment. If I were to start over I'd get a college degree in a discipline that would start me on the road to becoming a CFO of a large corporation. I think that's a job that I would have qualified for and thoroughly enjoyed.
What do you like about yourself?
I'm comfortable with the person I am. God has blessed me in many different ways and I'm walking the narrow path with Jesus. Like everyone walking this earth, I have a sin nature and will be very happy to shed that someday.
What are some of your favorite movies?
The Waterboy, The Wedding Singer, Spy, Undercover Blues, Forever my Girl, Hacksaw Ridge, Hancock, Hidden Figures, I'm Not Ashamed, Lucy, Instant Family, Maudie, The Hundred Foot Journey, The Hitman's Bodyguard, The Prestige, Lifted, Breakthrough, Billy Madison, Unplanned, Return to Me, Elf, The Santa Clause, Christmas Vacation, The Blind Side, Eastside Sushi, 50 First Dates, The Last Stand, It's a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood, Get Smart, The Hiding Place, Harriet, Jersey Girl, Dances with Wolves, The Green Hornet, Father of the Bride, Mr Bean, Mr Bean's Holiday, No Time for Sergeants, Spare Parts, Coneheads, Let There Be light, Blue Streak, Dragnet, My Blue Heaven, Mr Deeds, Before the Wrath, Casa de mi Padre, Eurovision Song Contest, the Story of Fire Saga, Gran Torino
What is something you would like to do before you die?
Watch my children make their way in life, visit family, and rest
Favorite Bible verse and why.[/QUOTE]
Mine's half a verse. I find it comforting: The eyes of the Lord roam over the whole earth, to encourage those who are devoted to Him wholeheartedly. 2 Chronicles 16:9
