apparently I am now also INFJ according to a recent test ... lol

it is the rarest out of the 16 different types.

Instead of being constantly excluded because of being different to the majority I decided to make a club so that others who are also INFP (and INFJ) wont feel so alone. So here are your special badges.

2022 Lanolin = tending plants on moonrocks

2023 Lanolin = levitating with emeralds and a scimitar

INFPer and INFJers might find a kindred soulmate in others around them but it can be quite a rare experience to meet someone who truly 'gets' you.

I have been listening a lot to Alanis Morisettes Jagged Little Pill album lately. Alanis is well known to be HSP, its something she identitifies with though am not sure whether shes done the whole Myers Briggs test and what type she came up with.

I only recently found out (after 25 years) that a broadway/west end musical had been made of her album and a whole story based around it.

I dont really know of any other popular artist that captured the zeitgeist like she did, though Jewel who was of similar vintage had an album called Pieces of You and one song was called 'Im sensitive' and I'd like to stay that way.

Its funny that I can recall every word of those albums but I didnt really follow those artists on other albums. They just had songs that spoke to me, at the time, when it was considered really uncool to express how you really felt. About life, the world etc.

For some strange reason people expect librarians to be loud and noisy yelling at everyone else to be quiet.

?!

Im like, being a librarian does not mean I can actually control everyone elses behaviour or noise levels that I dont make myself. Thats on the teachers to teach children how to behave.

The club has moved to new premises

INFJs and INFPS are now hanging out in an undisclosed location after being pushed out of libraries by naughty, noisy children and micromanaging principals who have control issues.

That's hilarious either way, whether it's a joke or true... which is it anyway?

Apparently it is true. In the "I am NOT happy!" thread Lanolin chronicled her decisions (like, multiple times) to tell her superior how to do the boss's job, and how Lanolin eventually got fired.

I called it, by the way. I predicted she would get fired long before she did, back when she was still complaining about her boss and detailing all the ways she had lambasted her boss. But I don't think Lanolin even noticed my predictions.

its all true

well it can be revealed that INFPs and INFJs now hang out at the Comedy Club. At first, nobody laughed at our jokes but then it caught on and now we are in big demand.

The best way to "discover" your most accurate label is to have someone who knows you well fill out the exam for you.

Now it can't be someone who is a subordinate like a son or an employee who you like....nor should it be a superior like your boss or a parent.

They all have prejudices that will skew the outcome.

It needs to be an equal partner friend who has known you for a good bit.

We tend to idealize certain things about ourselves and demote other traits we truly own but don't necessarily like or think very significant in our lives.

Then you can get a fairly accurate assessment of who you are.

Me?
ENFP. Which means I'm also a polymath.
I didn't mean to or intend to be one....I just am and it's kinda odd to me how others aren't like me....I think I'm ordinary and mundane....however there's a long list of people saying otherwise.

Lots of people, for some reason, want to be an ENFP. I'm not exactly sure of the attraction. It isn't exactly special....to me at least. But since people have had a few different low skill jobs in diverse fields and they like music they believe they are ENFPs. Which is not what the personality test demonstrates or are standard traits.

These personality types demonstrate attitude tendencies....which translates into perceptions...which translates into reactions and actions.

Example:
I was talking to another ENFP about a coffee mug we both liked but wanted just a tad different. So I asked him if we were going to throw some clay or wimp out at a crafts store that only let's us paint on the pottery glaze.
His reply: Well I was thinking of throwing some clay AFTER I refine it first.....meaning he was going to make a unique batch of pottery clay before he went to the pottery wheel.
That's an ENFP talking right there. That's the attitude that defines the configuration of letters. I'd be right there with him too....trying to put my own spin on things.

I don't think I ever really have an 'equal partner'.
My brothers, who are twins and born on the same day, have this built in their DNA.

I can't compete with that lol
I asked my big sister to do the test and she never got round to it. A lot of people dismiss the myers-briggs test and really don't think its worth the time to do, so there's no point asking them.

I find spiritual gift tests interesting though, I seemed to have the gift of mercy (definitely NOT teaching) but might do it again in case I overlooked something. I think it's important to make use of the gifts God gives us.
