oh well as INFP I quite understand as I want to know everything as well and have had quite a few job changes and dont like to be boxed in unless the box is one Ive made myself lol
Not quite the same thing.
Sure an INFP wants to know everything....but they usually do so through books and articles. Hands on is the last thing as they MUST read the instructions first. (The very thing the ENFP is standing on absolutely unconcerned about)

INFPs are more "involved" with their own thoughts and opinions than an ENFP....

Also INFPs are more common.

Self disciplined ENFPs are an extreme rarity and the true type is not very common to start with. Something like less than 5% of the population. Disciplined? Time to break out the decimals.

Ive had different jobs but always applied what I read to what Im learning hands on, because forewarned is forearmed

Also, it is very difficult to remember things if they are not actually written down. For INFPS
Plus, when God says write the vision so that everyone can see it, that is something INFPS will do.
If you just tell an INFP to do something, it might go in one ear and out the other, or it might be too noisy to hear what you said, or your instruction may actually be confusing.

I think I am alot like this. Perhaps one of the reason I can see more than ever just doing one job only. I find it tedious even as I get older. I can see past pushing a big sale or accomplishing being in management or even CEO. I have been in management and been the head of a kitchen in the military. Yet I enjoy being to myself more and more. I don't find shyness or being an introvert as being debilitating . But at times more understanding and wise.

The very act of writing is HANDs on because you either write with your hand or type with your fingers, and the act of it commits it to memory.

INFPs tend to be quick readers, the more they do it, the faster they get, so its not like it takes up a huge amount of time. For INFPs, reading is fun, never a chore. If they dont like reading something they will stop or skim but its not difficult for INFPs. Its kind of like breathing.

INFPs find that other things can be difficult, but reading, never. Also its not just words we read, it can be pictures or symbols.

I guess it comes from the P -Perceiving part of INFP.
I standing for Introverted meaning one reading a situation, they will then. use their intuition to make conclusions, other people are not required, but for ENFP they seem to need others around them or to comfirm they are right or doing something people approve of.

Generally Introverts are totally ok being single as well and are happy getting on with things by themselves.

Nope....
We just feel more comfortable with others around. We need alone time to process our thoughts at times. But that doesn't mean that we won't take advice from others who have been down a similar path before....

We tend to think "If they can then I certainly can"

oh ok then what is then difference then with ENFPs, INFPs dont necessarily feel more or less uncomfortable with others around it just depends on the person/people or how many there are but INFPs get more inspired when they are alone, because inspiration will come then.

INFP are the idealists
People that are not INFPs sometimes cant handle when an INFP day dreams or has too many ideas.
They be like 'what planet you from? Or where did you get that idea?' But INFPS just take that in their stride. Sometimes they wont bother to let others know their ideas if they are not receptive, but they visions need to be shared if they are good ones, and just because nobody has EVER done a thing before, doesnt mean INFPS stop dreaming.

I think an INFP can understand an INFJ if they are into just causes /justice. An INFP wont necessarily advocate for others because they believe that if you want to raise something its better you let them do it than have someone else do it for you. which can be more empowering in a way. But an INFJ will go a bit further and probably go 'on behalf of xxx everywhere, we believe this and this' and will probably be a bit more forceful than an INFP would.

an INFP would tell a story, an INFJ would probably start a petition

Theres a series of ebooks on each of the 16 types in the library (you can probably find them on overdrive) on INFP

some well known people who fit the profile of INFP are

George Orwell
Laura Ingalls Wilder
Lisa Kudrow
Megan Fellows
Carl Rogers
AA Milne
John F Kennedy
James Herriot
Albert Schweitzer
Scott Bakula
Julia Roberts

and they are 1-4% of population (INFJ are rarer at less than 1%) and mostly female 60% to male 40%

some other things I learned are..INFPS are made for marriage and romantic ?!
we do not take conflict well..it can stress us out
Criticism, can hurt us deeply even when the criticiser is wanting to be constructive
we need to be more practical (to balance our idealism and make dreams a reality)
and there are some other tips that I need to go back and read or possibly take note of but that will do for now

I notice of the famous ppl a lot of them are actors or writers...! Which I suppose is common cos well, we live in a dreamworld at times and prefer play to boring work!

That's an understatement if I ever heard one.

It is odd as to what exactly will catch my fancy and when....why some things are appealing and others aren't. Very odd indeed....something to study for sure.

ok maybe most famous people are actors then for all types.
its it meaning the type of characters they played?

Because although actors play different people, they tend to be one type of character. Obi wan Kenobi? Is an actor??

So then what about Yoda, or Elmo? The cookie monster?

its interesting about Plato for INFJs...I would guess because he represents justice...or platonism...or republicanism lol

eg you dont try and tell me what to do...I make up my own mind, there is a better way
very strong character types. Wonder why Carrie Fisher is named and not Princess Leia though. Carrie Fisher did not always like playing her.

LOL... sorry the site that I pulled these from had actually listed each in their own repsective categories... They actually had a separate category for "Finctional Characters" lol... Not sure who took the Myers Briggs test for them... hahaha...
Interesting point, wondering if someone actually took a test for all of the people on these lists - or that a group of people from Myers Briggs took a vote and decided what personality type these folks were most likely expected to be...
LOL, I'm guessing that group had to include a handful of 'Idealists' hahaha
